Bush stands firm on U.S. policies

U.S. President George W. Bush made his second visit to Europe in as many months and continued to defend his positions on climate change and missile defence. He said the U.S. was “willing to listen” but stressed: “I will continue to stand for what I think is right for America." In addition to attending the G8 summit in Genoa, Italy, Bush met with the pope, Russian President Vladimir Putin and British PM Tony Blair and spoke with U.S. troops in Kosovo.
