| Convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was put to death by lethal injectionon at 7:14 a.m. (8:14 EDT) on Monday, June 11. McVeigh, who admitted setting the bomb that killed 168 people in the Oklahoma City federal building, called off further legal efforts in early June to delay the execution.
