The memorial was created by a 350-member task force appointed by Oklahoma City Mayor Ron Norick in the aftermath of the bombing. The Oklahoma City National Memorial Trust and the National Park Service jointly operate the memorial and the recently opened museum next to the memorial. Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism
The Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism is a national center for the development of technologies and methods for preventing, deterring and mitigating the effects of terrorism. The institute's core program is aimed at the research and development of equipment and training to meet state and local emergency response needs. It also has smaller programs that research legal and criminal justice issues in counterterrorism and that look at trends in terrorism.
We Remember -- Federal Highway Administration Oklahoma City memorial page
This Web site is a memorial to the 11 Federal Highway Administration employees who were killed in the bombing. The agency planted 11 redbud trees at the FHWA Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in McLean, Virginia, to commemorate the employees.
