Khowst, Afghanistan

 • The U.S. military is using the airfield near Khowst as a major logistics and supply area for U.S. Special Forces and coalition units fighting in eastern Afghanistan.

 • Coalition forces stationed at the airfield came under fire on March 20 in the aftermath of Operation Anaconda, resulting in one U.S. soldier being wounded.
