More than a week after the disaster, workers continue to sift through the debris filling five gallon buckets by hand. Along with the rescue crews who search for signs of life, 900 sanitation workers and 250 pieces of equipment, are working to haul away at least 2 billion pounds of steel and concrete and 14 acres of glass from where the World Trade Center towers once stood.
