After a week of fighting in northern Iraq, Kurdish Peshmerga fighters pushed Iraqi forces off their positions near the town of Kifri. After the fighting was over, the townspeople from Kifri went to the abandoned Iraqi positions and found gas masks, ammunition, an Iraqi flag, a ripped poster of Saddam Hussein, Iraqi army helmets and other spoils of war. CNN's David Turnley was there and took the photographs below.
