Taylor (center) has been indicted on war crimes charges

Taylor leaves Liberia

Liberia's new president has vowed to do all he can to bring peace to the war-ravaged country, and he has invited rebels who fought to oust his predecessor, Charles Taylor, to join his government.

Hours after Taylor stepped down and left the country, President Moses Blah offered to share power with the rebels and predicted that he would make quick progress toward ending the 14-year war that has ripped apart Liberia.
