Fragile peace in Lebanon

A tenuous cease-fire between Israeli troops and Hezbollah fighters appears to be holding, despite a number of clashes and mortars fired inside southern Lebanon.

The cease-fire came more than a month after Israel launched a series of bombing raids in Lebanon. The July 13 action by Israel was carried out after Hezbollah forces crossed into Israel, killing three soldiers and abducting two more -- an act the Israeli prime minister declared an "act of war."

Now, thousands of civilians displaced by the conflict are returning to their homes in southern Lebanon.
