On the heels of its successful forays to Mars this year, NASA has embarked on a new voyage -- to Saturn.

The Cassini mission is not only one of the most expensive ever, costing $3.4 billion, it's also one of the most controversial -- the Cassini rocket is carrying 72 pounds of plutonium - the most ever launched into space. The rocket is scheduled to arrive in orbit around Saturn in 2004.
