ATLANTA (CNN) -- Looking for the latest from the
international world of sports? Where else but the World Wide
Web would you expect to find what your local cable channel
never airs?
The batsman and the wicket
For the lover of the wonderful world of cricket -- there's a
Web page of the same name, with all the very
latest in cricket news.
The site is a collection of links, including an explanation
of the rules, score cards, and a site that purports to settle
the argument over who is number one.
And even if you can't catch the ICC Cricket Tournament in
Kuala Lumpur, you can get the highlights right over the net.
Bet on it
The Dania Jai-Alai Company's Web page contains everything you'd ever want to know about
the fast-paced game.
Here you can take a quiz on the favorite of Basque sports --
or look up some of the answers if you find you don't know
enough.
And as the site points out -- jai-alai is a betting sport.
Wrestling, Japanese style
It's a Sumo World has
information about the hottest tournaments, and some
philosophy of the Japanese wrestling spirit.
It can also connect you to the home page of Hawaii's champion
Konishiki, where you can follow his tournament action -- and
get his messages designed to inspire kids to excel.
A daily kick
And finally, there are more than 600 soccer pages on the net.
Daily Soccer provides fast scores on
games all around the world, some going back several months.
It also gives you a chance to play manager yourself. As the
head of a fantasy soccer team, pick your players -- and start
competing with others on the Web.
The winner gets $10,000 and a trip to Amsterdam -- not bad
for virtual sports.
