(IDG) -- Soon you can have as many as 200-disc DVDs in your home-theater system's changer and controller thanks to Escient's(r)( www.escient.com) PowerPlay(tm). This IEEE-1394, Internet-enabled, 200-disc DVD changer and controller will be available in December, priced at $5,000, and additional changers that service large collections will be available for $1,500.

PowerPlay makes home-theater systems much easier to use, and provides CEDIA Dealers/Installers with the DVD solution of storing, managing and controlling large numbers of DVDs by daisy chaining and the use of additional Escient changers.

And with Escient's Internet DVD and music CD databases, PowerPlay provides cover art and data, such as titles, chapters, reviews, and ratings, to the user's TV or display screen.
