Aired February 26, 2001 - 11:48 a.m. ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: We've got a story that's just now coming into the CNN Center. We're getting word this morning of a collision of two vessels off the southwest coast of Florida near Marco Island. We understand that one small vessel with three people onboard has collided with another larger vessel with up to 50 people onboard. We have one -- we have word that, according to the Associated Press here, one person is dead, two others are hurt, and that is all we have on the people involved in this. The Coast Guard is working the scene. This collision occurred in some fog this morning off the southwest coast of Florida.

We're keeping our eye on this and we'll check back with you once we get more details on this story.
