DONNA KELLEY, CNN ANCHOR: And some breaking news that we had been working to confirm for you for quite some time this morning from people who were part of a convoy, the fate of four people, all believed to be journalists, at this point is unclear. We're getting this from people with the convoy.

A driver and a translator were allowed to flee on Monday that they said that two cars of a convoy carrying Western journalists was attacked on its way from Kabul. They were apparently going from Jalalabad to Kabul. It was a convoy of eight cars that was stopped by armed men. Identities of the four people all believed to be journalists, we don't have that. That's not immediately known yet either.

People in the first two cars were actually dragged out. The driver and the translator said that they begged for their lives and they were allowed to leave. The people in the six remaining cars turned around and they actually went back to Jalalabad.

So this has apparently happened about 60 miles from Kabul. They were trying to get from Jalalabad to Kabul. The translator and the driver begging for their lives, they were allowed to leave, and they are saying that the fate of four people all believed to be journalists, at this point, unclear. We'll keep you posted on what we find out.
