Aired April 4, 2003 - 06:34   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Right now, Carol, a very disturbing story coming out of Central Command in Qatar. Right outside the camp, we're told, CNN has confirmed a car has exploded, killing three coalition soldiers. Also, they say, a pregnant woman was killed and a driver; this, according to the Central Command in Qatar just a few moments ago.
Tom Mintier is on the scene. He's looking into the story firsthand on the scene in Qatar, and as we get more, we'll pass it along to you.

But confirming once again, a car has exploded near a coalition checkpoint or a coalition gate, killing three coalition soldiers, nationalities not known, but we do know the U.S. is largely responsible for security down and around Central Command headquarters. A driver was killed, we are told, and a pregnant woman as well inside of that car.

We'll get you more when we get it, but that's our update now from Qatar.
