ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: I want to remind you, police have linked four attacks to the serial rapist in Miami but they think there may be other attacks that this person may be responsible for. They are still investigating that aspect of the case.
We do want to talk more about the case. Joining me live from Miami, Detective Delrish Moss with the Miami Police Department.
Detective, thanks for being with us. This serial rapist has allegedly attacked women ranging in age from 11 to 79 years old.
Do you have a profile of this guy?
DET. DELRISH MOSS, MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT: Well, one of the things that's been difficult is to develop a profile. Because, originally, we were thinking in one vein. Now with these surprise new cases we've been able to link, it's sort of changed that. So that's something we're back to the drawing board on.
COOPER: What do you know that people should look for?
I mean, Susan Candiotti, mentioned distinctive jewelry.
MOSS: In terms of distinctive jewelry, there's information that's going to be released tomorrow. I don't have that yet. But one of the things that has been most striking is first of all, the similarities in the composites. One of the things the last victim said to us, that he had extreme, extreme acne scars. Pox marks on his face, if you will. From the accent, they're saying he's probably Mexican or Nicaraguan and things along that nature. We are hoping that people will...
COOPER: Do you believe at this point this person is getting more -- bolder, that they are emboldened and maybe that another attack is imminent?
MOSS: Well, we believe that he's definitely increasing in how bold he becomes. In this last case, he was actually in the house of the victim, waiting for her. In past cases, he had actually opted to hide outside or hide along the side of the house somewhere around there. But this time, he was right in the house waiting for that victim. And he made threats. He's very bold.
COOPER: Now, you've linked four attacks to a serial rapist. You believe there may be others. They are investigating others. How many other attacks are you looking into at this point?
MOSS: At this point, we suspect him in six. We've narrowed it down with DNA to four. And we're looking at two others where that DNA information is pending. Now what we're doing is looking at previous cases, old cases, unsolved cases. That's how we were able to come up with the adult victims or elderly victims in this case.
COOPER: Detective Moss, appreciate you joining us tonight. This on going investigation. Thanks very much.
