THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Let's talk about Michigan now. Many Michigan residents are in for one long, hot weekend. More than two million Detroit Edison customers still without electricity this morning, and get this, the governor says it could be late Sunday before power is restored to everyone there.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER GRANHOLM, MICHIGAN GOVERNOR: Detroit Edison cannot confirm exactly when all power will be fully restored, but they are hopeful that most customers will be back on-line before the end of the weekend.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

COSTELLO: Power outage in Michigan also affecting water supplies because water in the state is distributed by electric pumps. Electric water pumps are also down in Ohio and 450-gallon tank trucks may have to be used to get water to those who live there. Scheduled flights were allowed to land last night at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, but it's not known when flights will resume there today since reservation and screening systems are down.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JANE CAMPBELL, CLEVELAND, OHIO MAYOR: We have asked the state to declare a state of emergency in this community. They have done that. What that will allow us to do is to have access to National Guard resources, to transport water or whatever is necessary, as well as highway patrol officers, if that's needed. We have taken that step and so that we would have those resources as well move forward.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

COSTELLO: You know I'm from that area and I'm supposed to fly there later this morning. What a great weekend to go home.
