BROOKE ANDERSON: And Britney Spears` startling connection to Saddam Hussein? I`m Brooke Anderson. We`re in New York. The TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Jennifer Love-Hewitt`s body backlash. Tonight, "The Ghost Whisper" star is roaring, furious about being attacked for her figure. Why Love has no love for the people who said she`s a party of thighs. Hey, Love, we love you just how you are. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the controversy, the anger, and the fired up questions. Are women`s bodies in Hollywood scrutinized unfairly?

The party girl report card. Tonight, it`s back to school for Britney, Paris, Nicole and Lindsay. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is giving these Hollywood bad girls grades. Who cleaned up their act? Who kept their promises? And who`s flunking out? Tonight, get out your pencils, paper, and, Britney, your panties. It`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s party girl report card.

(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson. And tonight, we are investigating why so many of Hollywood`s most beautiful stars like Eva Longoria hook up with equally hot sports stars. The fascinating mystique between Beauty and the Jock coming up.

First tonight, Jennifer Love-Hewitt is furious over suggestions she is fat, so furious that she`s had it. And she has ignited an all-out war over Hollywood`s ridiculous obsession with being stick thin. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you she is not the only star who has absolutely had it.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice over): "The Ghost Whisperer" is shouting her indignation.

KATIE DARYL, "TMZ TV": She loves her body.

HAMMER: The hosts of "The View" are passionately discussing it.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Jennifer Love-Hewitt had her photograph taken. She was on a beach. She was in a bikini and there was a little extra hanging. Who doesn`t have it? Please.

HAMMER: And all of Hollywood is once again riled up about the obsession with weight and body image. And it`s all because Jennifer Love-Hewitt went swimming. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the woman who, legend has it, inspired Mayer`s song "Your Body Is a Wonder Land" - (MUSIC) is now finding her body, front and center, in a passionate debate about how women are often judged by their bodies.

A number of web sites recently posted paparazzi photos of Hewitt at the beach that even she admits were taken from bad angles. Well, those pictures unleashed a tidal wave of comments about Hewitt`s body. Celebrity web site "TMZ.com" posted pictures of the former "I Know What You Did Last Summer" star along with the crack "We know what you ate this summer, Love. Everything."

DARYL: It was kind of a little tongue-in-cheek cutsie little remark.

HAMMER: Katie Daryl of "TMZ TV" says the web site`s remark was all in good fun.

DARYL: When we did run the photograph in the TV show, we did easily say that, you know, it could be a bad camera angle. People take bad photographs all the time.

HAMMER: But Hewitt is striking back at negative comments about her beach bod. On her blog Hewitt writes, quote, "I`ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women`s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I`m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image. A size 2 is not fat nor will it ever be, and being a size 0 doesn`t make you beautiful.

DARYL: It`s the same response I probably would have given if someone published a photograph of me that was unflattering. She wanted to stand up for her body and say she is proud of her body.

HAMMER: And Hewitt, who just got engaged to actor Russ McCall goes on to say, quote, "What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body. To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini, put it on and stay strong." It`s something Hewitt obviously feels strongly about.

JENNIFER LOVE-HEWITT: Absolutely, sometimes you think, gosh, you know, I`m a size 2 and I`m the fattest person in the room. This is really scary.

HAMMER: When she stopped by SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, she told me she wishes there was more acceptance for all body types.

HEWITT: I think there`s room for really, really skinny, beautiful people, and really beautiful people who have a little bit of a butt.

HAMMER: But all too often, female celebrities are put in the position of having to answer for their weight.

TYRA BANKS, FORMER MODEL: America`s next top waddle -

HAMMER: Former model Tyra Banks wore a swimsuit on her talk show to angrily fire back at the cracks she endured after tabloids ran some unflattering beach photos of her.

BANKS: I have one thing to say to you, kiss my fat ass!

HAMMER: Model Adrianne Curry on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with husband and fellow reality star Christopher Knight told me she finds Hollywood`s skinny obsession ridiculous.

ADRIANNE CURRY, MODEL AND REALITY SHOW STAR: I mean, when I have my doctor telling me you are five to ten pounds underweight and then someone else tells me to lose weight, that doesn`t jive. So I`m not going to do it.

HAMMER: And with all the discussion about her weight, it`s clear Jennifer Love-Hewitt is hoping to change a negative into a positive.

DARYL: You know what, as long as you`re happy with your body, that`s all that really matters and I think Jennifer Love-Hewitt did a great job reinforcing this issue and message.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Of course, what Jennifer Love-Hewitt is saying has been said many times before. But this time, for some reason, her words have really struck a chord like never before.

With me tonight in Hollywood is Jessica Weiner, self esteem expert and author of this book "Do I Look Fat in This?" and Ken Baker, editorial director of UsMagazine.com. Jessica, Ken, great to see you both.

JESSICA WEINER, SELF ESTEEM EXPERT: Hey, Brooke.

ANDERSON: And you know what I think, Jennifer Love-Hewitt is absolutely right. To say that a size 2 is fat is ridiculous. Jessica, you know, she`s got every right to be outraged here, doesn`t she?

WEINER: She absolutely does. I think we all have a right to be outraged, Brooke. This is ridiculous. At this point, we have done so many of these conversations where we talk about women`s bodies being scrutinized. And what we seem to forget every single time, Brooke, is that this message trickles down to the people we love the most, our daughters, our mothers and our friends. And it is incredibly destructive, let alone untrue.

ANDERSON: Yes, it could have a big impact on people who try to emulate stars and who read these web sites and read the tabloids. You know, and I love what Jennifer Love-Hewitt said in that very powerful statement she released on her side. "I know what I look like and so do my friends and family, and like all women out there should, I love my body. To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini. Put it on and stay strong." Ken, isn`t that a sad statement, though, that one of Hollywood`s most beautiful actresses has to defend herself and put out a statement like that?

KEN BAKER, EDITORIAL DIRECTOR OF "USMAGAZINE.COM": Yes. It`s almost surreal, like we`re living in a parallel reality out here. There`s the Hollywood reality and then actual reality where people really look like normal people. I think that really what has happened is that actresses - I see it out there. They beat themselves up so much. They feel so much pressure, so much competition to be thin. And they`re almost made to feel like being fat is like having a disease or even having fat at all is a disease when it`s just like a normal biological reality. But this is what`s happened.

And particularly the case with Jennifer Love-Hewitt, she has put herself out there. She was a Hanes underwear model and appeared in magazine ads all over the place. And I think she had already sort of put herself out there as someone showing off her body. And so, here it is. There`s a picture of her in a bikini and everyone wants to attack her.

ANDERSON: But don`t you think the criticism is deplorable? Go ahead, Jessica. What did you want to say?

WEINER: I was just going to say Ken was talking about the Hollywood reality. And right now, I`m working with teen girls all over this country and here is the reality. We`re doing a project called the Dove Reality Diaries. Girls that see this picture of Jennifer Love-Hewitt want to get plastic surgery. They want to get liposuction. There`s a direct correlation. And so she wasn`t asking for these pictures to be taken.

And the reality that is Hollywood`s standards of beauty is absolutely destroying the lives of teenagers out there. And it`s not until somebody like a TMZ or other outlets stop producing comments like "I know what you ate last summer" and stop putting the pictures up there and people like us, the consumers, stop buying these photographs and buying into the photographs, we`re not going to see an end this come anytime soon.

ANDERSON: Well, it`s not just Jennifer Love-Hewitt speaking out. I also spoke to supermodel Heidi Klum, who is not only a model, but a reality TV star in "Project Runway." And this is what she told me about the pressure to stay thin in Hollywood.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HEIDI KLUM, SUPERMODEL AND REALITY SHOW STAR: I never really wanted to get that skinny. I always wanted to have my body the way it is. And I always thought to myself, you know, this is a business that I`m interested in but either people like me the way I am or otherwise I just have to do something else. I`m not going to try to be a boy or somebody like a figure that I didn`t - I was not born with, you know.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I can hear women all over America right now, guys, saying right on, Heidi. You know, Jessica, granted she is naturally blessed. She is beautiful, but she does have a point there that we as women should accept what we look like, who we are, and not what others would like us to be, right?

WEINER: I think that the pendulum, it has to begin to swing in the other direction. If Heidi can be that articulate and certainly Jennifer Love- Hewitt is being incredibly articulate about something that could be quite embarrassing and hurtful. And other people that we`ve seen on the show, America Ferrera. Everybody has really spoken up to say enough is enough.

And when we really can gather all of the powerhouses in Hollywood, all of these fabulous strong women. I hope they do send a message to not only the paparazzi and the agencies out there that use these photographs, but the casting agents and the directors and the studio executives who keep perpetuating this image. I hopefully - I think if we say enough is enough, I somebody will begin to listen. ANDERSON: Well, as you both know, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has led the way in covering the body image war in Hollywood. And we have pointed out how outrageous, how dangerous the pressures are. But, Ken, as sad as it is, nothing has really changed so far in Hollywood, has it?

BAKER: No, but I think as Jessica said that the more that people stand up and say, "Hey look, this is me. This is my reality" - Jamie Lee Curtis did this about two years ago. She did a magazine photo shoot with no makeup, no anything, no photo shop and she said, "This is who I am," and it was very powerful. And I think it did have an impact particularly on the media. Look, guys, this is not just an issue that actresses face. Actors, men, have said that they feel this pressure to be thin or in shape, and muscular.

ANDERSON: You`re right.

BAKER: Dennis Quaid has said that he was anorexic for a period of time in the `90s.

ANDERSON: Men and women are dealing with it. I do have to end it there. But, you know, there is reason to be optimistic and for that, we can be grateful. Jessica Weiner, Ken Baker, thank you both.

WEINER: Thanks.

HAMMER: I really hope somebody can get their act together with this issue because it absolutely needs to be tackled.

All right. Moving on - you know, Brooke, there are a lot of people think the media a little too harsh on Britney, Paris, Lindsay. But my opinion is if they`re out there doing stupid things, setting a bad example, well, you know what, they deserve it.

So tonight, back to school for Britney, Paris, Nicole and Lindsay. I am giving these Hollywood bad girls grades. Watch out. Who has cleaned up their act? Who kept their promises and who is flunking out? A revealing showbiz special report. You don`t want to miss this, "The Party Girl`s Report Card," at 30 minutes past the hour.

ANDERSON: Well, A.J., just when I think I`ve heard it all, when it comes to Britney, something shocking happens. Tonight, the startling connection between Britney Spears and the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Are you kidding me? That`s coming up. Also this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRAD PITT, ACTOR AND PHILANTHROPIST: To go home, have dinner with your kids, and have to discipline one of them who is out of line, and still have the energy for that is - I can`t explain the fulfillment of that, but it is everything.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Brad Pitt, one of Hollywood`s good guys, one of my favorites. Tonight, Brad on being a dad. He is opening up like never before. You`ve got to hear this, next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment show. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, Brad Pitt is speaking out like never before about being a father. Pitt was in New Orleans for his "Make It Right Foundation" and sat down with CNN`s own Larry King in an exclusive interview.

Earlier today, I spoke with Larry about Brad`s revealing chat where he really opened up about raising his four children with the love of his life, Angelina Jolie, and pledging $5 million of his own money to building homes in New Orleans. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: This is really a huge exclusive for you being with Brad in New Orleans as he launched his project, this project to eventually build more than 150 homes. What did Brad share with you about why this is so personal to him?

LARRY KING, HOST, "LARRY KING LIVE": Oh, there`s so much to see. When it airs tomorrow night, it is really incredible. He is so, Brooke, passionately involved in this. It almost overwhelms him. He`s not doing any films. He`s not scheduled any movies. He`s totally involved in this rebuilding the ninth ward which is like a war zone.

I`ve never seen anything like it considering how long ago Katrina happened. That this still exists in this country is a blight in many areas and what he`s trying to do is correct it, to make it better. And the way he makes it better is to enlist some of the top architects in the world and build new homes and move people into those homes. A lot of people back, former people of the ninth ward who live in Houston or Tuskegee, Alabama, to move them back.

So I would say, Brooke, he is totally committed and that will come through. You`re going to learn a lot about Brad Pitt in this hour.

ANDERSON: It`s incredible. What`s even more amazing, Larry, is that Brad is putting his money where his mouth is, $5 million of his own money into this. That`s pretty remarkable. We know he has deep pockets but, still, that`s very, very generous.

KING: You`re not kidding.

ANDERSON: What did he tell you about that?

KING: $5 million is $5 million. He feels that you sort of put your money where your mouth is. If he`s going to come forward - one of the ways you come forward is if you have the money, you put the money up.

He`s had a long love affair with New Orleans that I didn`t know. He lived there since 1992. He did a film there in `92 and then bought a house. So, he`s lived there 15 years. So he`s had a strong commitment to the city and he thinks what you do with a commitment is you back it up.

ANDERSON: Quite a connection to New Orleans. And in your exclusive interview Brad also really opened up about being a dad to the four children he`s raising with Angelina Jolie. Let`s take a listen to that now.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KING: And how do you like being a father? It`s the hardest job in the world.

PITT: The hardest job in the world? The most rewarding job in the world. There`s something to - we`ll put long days in here. We`re up since the sun comes up, and to go home and have dinner with your kids and have to discipline one of them who is out of line and still have the energy for that is - I can`t explain the fulfillment of that but it is everything.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Larry, I know that Brad told you he and Angelina want to expand their family. Did you get a sense that`s going to happen sooner rather than later?

KING: Sooner rather than later. He`s 44. He`s not going to let too much time - I wouldn`t be surprised if they went to five, six, seven kids. He loves kids and he loves being a father. I think that came through in just that little piece so, yes, I would expect that they`re going at it right now.

ANDERSON: They seem like devoted parents. And he also opened up to you about when he and Angelina first met and what their life is like now. Take a listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KING: When you get emotionally involved with someone you`re working with.

PITT: Well, that came after. That came after. But she is a woman of strong opinion, very specifically and a great voice. I respect it. A great intelligence.

KING: Fight a lot?

PITT: No. Not really. Challenge each other a lot. Having good fun with that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Larry, you know, we see tabloid headlines all the time that their relationship is in trouble. You spent time with both of them there in New Orleans. Could that be any further from the truth?

KING: Well, tabloids are often wrong and in this case they could have fooled me. She is very much in love with him. I had a nice conversation with her while he was speaking to the crowd. And then of course she`s totally committed to his involvement in this and he`s committed to hers. I would say they`re very much in love, very much co-parenting. I think they`re a terrific couple.

ANDERSON: All right. Well, we know there is much more great stuff in your interview, Larry. We really can`t wait to see the whole thing when it airs Wednesday night on CNN 9:00 p.m. Eastern.

KING: Thank you, Brooke. I know you`ll find it fascinating.

ANDERSON: Can`t wait.

KING: A lot of people are going to really enjoy seeing this passion of this individual, totally committed.

ANDERSON: Thanks for taking time with us, Larry. We appreciate it.

KING: Thanks, Brooke.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I never could imagine it now, but you know, at one time Brad Pitt was a Hollywood party guy. But tonight, it is all about the ladies.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NICOLE RICHIE, ACTRESS: I have a younger brother and a younger sister, and I think that it`s important for me to be a good role model to them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wait a second. Is that really Nicole Richie, Miss-I-drive-down- the-wrong-way-and-have-two-DUIs? Well, tonight, I`m getting out my big red pen and I`m giving these Hollywood party girls a report card. Who`s got their act together? Who is still flunking out? A showbiz special report not to be missed at 30 past the hour.

ANDERSON: Your red pen, huh? All right. Well, tonight, I can tell you that the hottest star accessory this season, it`s not a bag. It`s not shoes. It`s a quarterback or a point guard. I want to know, why are so many sexy stars falling for sports stars? "Beauty and the Jock" straight ahead.

And tonight, I can also tell you that two of Hollywood`s sexiest stars are fighting over one guy and he`s royalty. Watch out. This thing is really going to get ugly, A.J. That`s coming up.

HAMMER: But Brooke, one thing I think is terrific, obviously when Brad Pitt and stars like him give back, not to take anything away from what Brad is doing, but I think it is unbelievable when ordinary people do extraordinary things.

And coming up this Thursday, December 6th, CNN is honoring them with "CNN HEROES," an all-star tribute here in New York City. We`ll be right there live.

ANDERSON: We certainly will. It`s a wonderful tribute. I`m very excited about it. It all gets started 8:00 p.m. Eastern right here on HEADLINE NEWS with a special live edition of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And then at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, "HEROES, AN ALL-STAR TRIBUTE" on CNN which is hosted by Anderson Cooper and Christiane Amanpour.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Wednesday, I am one-on-one with Barbara Walters. She is naming her ten most fascinating people of the year, a controversial list - Victoria "Spice" and David Beckham, Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson. Just how did Babs make these choices? Find out, Wednesday.

ANDERSON: OK. Well, I`ve got to admit it`s not a big surprise to me that Britney Spears is the most searched for celebrity on Yahoo this year. Not a big shocker there with her head shaving, the rehab, the custody battle, the VMA nightmare and on and on and on.

But what I did find completely surprising is that Britney is not only the most searched celebrity online, she`s the number one overall searched subject. Yes, Britney beat out a whole bunch of other big times in all the other categories like news, executed Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, text, the YouTube crazing, sports, even NASCAR racing. And yes, in the final farewell of category, the entire Harry Potter saying farewell in the last book in the series.

So, Britney, congratulations. You may not get your kids and your career may be tanking but when people let their fingers do the walking online, you`re tops.

HAMMER: Well, Britney, Paris, Lindsay, Nicole - these girls like to party all the time, party all the time, party all the time. Eddie Murphy`s one- hit wonder there. All right, tonight, I`m getting out the big old red pen and I`m giving these Hollywood party girls a report card. Who is keeping their promises? Who is still flunking out? Who is still not wearing panties? It`s a showbiz special report, coming up next.

ANDERSON: All right. I can`t believe what some of Hollywood`s hottest stars are showing off. It`s not the latest purse or shoes. Oh, no, no. It`s a quarterback or a point guard. I want to know, why are so many sexy stars falling for sports stars, "Beauty and the Jock," coming up. Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: We`re sisters, and therefore born to be rivals.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Well, tonight I can tell you two of Hollywood`s sexiest stars are fighting over one guy and he`s royalty. Watch out. This is going to get really ugly and we`ve got it coming up. Stay with us.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(NEWS BREAK)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Nicole Richie, role model. When did that happen?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RICHIE: I have a younger brother and a younger sister, and I think that it`s important for me to be a good role model to them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nicole has seemed to mature a little bit in the past year, but what about the other party girls? Well, we are checking up on Paris, Britney and Lindsay. The trouble with the law, the stints in rehab. Are they making the grade? A show biz special report: "Party Girl Report Card."

"Beauty and the Jock." The model-rock star thing - man, that is so 2006. Now, it`s all about Hollywood hotties and professional athletes. What draws these two species together? And is it a secret to relationship success or a recipe for disaster? A SHOWBIZ TONIGHT fairy tale, "Beauty and the Jock."

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson. You are watching TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. Tonight, it`s a special report, "The Party Girls` Report Card."

HAMMER: That`s right, Brooke. You have got Britney Spears and her sometimes BFF, Paris Hilton. You add to that, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie. Together - think about it, they really make a wild celebrity class packed with controversy. And tonight their report cards for this crazy year are in.

Out of all of them, two-time DUI reality starlet turned doting mom-to- be Nicole Richie takes the prize for the biggest tur turnaround of a Hollywood party girl. In one year alone, Ritchie got arrested, she went to jail, and she got pregnant. Well, now she is turning her fame into good deeds. We love seeing this happening. She is organizing a charity that has just given more than $200,000 in gifts to needy moms in Los Angeles.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there as she and her hubby-to-be, Joe Madden, threw a baby shower at the Los Angeles free clinic as part of their newly formed Richie-Madden Children`s Foundation. Man, an A-plus for Nicole Richie right there.

Tonight, our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT special report, "Party Girls Report Card." We have a fired up coast-to-coast panel. They are ready to dole out the grades in Hollywood. Tonight, director of "UsMagazine.com," Ken Baker. Also in Hollywood, "Extra" correspondent Carlos Diaz. And from New York, tonight, investigative journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell, author of this awesome book, "Secrets Can Be Murder."

Professors, I welcome you all. Let`s get it all fired up with Nicole Richie`s report card for the year. And by the way, I brought along my red pen which is actually an orange highlighter. Went to jail for DUI. Check. Her partying habits, on pause. Rehab, not this year. Charity, check. And motherhood, expecting. All right. Ken, I ran it down for you. Are we looking at a reformed party girl here?

BAKER: Well, she definitely has passing grades in all those categories, but let`s not forget what got her to this point. She had to go to jail. She had to be faced, you know, with a lot of sentencing that could have been a lot worse than she got. She was scared into this, so this is - this is an example, I should say of the justice system working and scaring people into not being bad anymore.

And one other point I have to make is when she went out and did all this charity stuff, it`s great. Don`t get me wrong. I applaud her. Nicole is very smart. She realized she needed to make a change. However, did you see how many cameras were there? This is definitely a media event. She is as much shaping her image as she is changing her life.

HAMMER: OK. But that`s important for her if she wants to have a future in Hollywood, I suppose. And you make a good point. It wasn`t all that long ago that we were talking about Nicole driving down the wrong way on an L.A. freeway. And now, this baby shower that you speak of, giving moms-to-be plenty of good stuff that they need. Let`s listen to what she told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about doing charity work.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RICHIE: I have a younger brother and a younger sister. And I think that it`s important for me to be a good role model for them and show them how important it is to share and to give back and to lend a helping hand whenever you can.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nicole Richie a role model. Who would have thought? I hope so. Carlos, do you buy it?

CARLOS DIAZ, "EXTRA" CORRESPONDENT: She is boldly going where no party goer has gone before, if you will. See, the great thing about Nicole is, she is kind of like the litmus test for the rest of the party girls in this situation because Paris said, "I`m going to do good. I`m going to do well when I get out of jail."

But the fact that Nicole is doing it, and I want to play on what Ken Baker said, thank god there were cameras there. If there were no cameras at the event that she was at the other day, that would prove she can get attention without being a bad girl. I applaud the fact that paparazzi was there covering her being her being a good girl. And when Paris sees this, maybe Paris does the same.

HAMMER: Learn by your friend`s example, Paris. Yes, I mean, that is the whole thing. Nicole never went out making all these promises to do all this charity. There she is doing it with her baby`s daddy, I guess you could say. On the other hand, as you pointed out, Paris made the big promises right after she got out of jail. In fact, I have a clip all lined up. Let`s listen to what she told CNN`s Larry King about charity for her.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PARIS HILTON, HEIRESS: That`s something that I was actually thinking a lot about in jail. I feel like, you know, being in the spotlight, I have a platform where I can raise awareness for so many great causes, and just do so much instead of, you know, superficial things like going out. I want to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.

KING: Will you get involved in all of this?

HILTON: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK, well, that was six months ago. Since the,n we heard about the postponed trip to Rwanda and not much else. Professor Velez-Mitchell, what do you think? Has Paris failed the charity course?

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: She gets an "F." If I had a nickel for every cause she says she wants to help and then doesn`t, I might be a little bit closer to being as rich as Paris Hilton is. She goes around the world taking her superficial values with her. What is she promoting? Her fragrance. That`s just what the world needs right now, another celebrity fragrance. It think not, and frankly, it stinks.

She promised when she got out of jail she would help these women she met there and bonded with form a halfway house so they could transition to productive work. Whatever happened to that? What happened to the trip to Rwanda? What happens to the other causes she just mentioned on "LARRY KING LIVE"? Forget about it. She hasn`t changed at all. As soon as that whole aura of jail went away, her old self came right back.

HAMMER: The old aura of jail. Let`s run it down here. Paris` overall report card for the year, jail related to DUI charge, check, partying, big check, rehab, no. Give her a little credit there. Charity, postponed as we said. Motherhood - well, it`s on her wish list. Ken Baker, can Paris possibly improve on any of these grades before the year is over?

BAKER: Well, like Jane said, the big problem here is that she over- promised and under-delivered. Any performer knows you do the opposite. You promise a little bit and then you knock their socks off. She made a mistake. I think when she said that to Larry, when she was a day out of jail and she went on and said all that stuff that she was going to do, she meant it. The problem is she hasn`t executed hardly any of it all.

The one thing she has done, and she just showed it the other night, she showed up to a big party in L.A. from Scandinavian Style Mansion. Guess what? She had a driver. So she`s definitely changed.

HAMMER: There`s something there.

DIAZ: Also at that party she talked to Britney. She talked to Britney. So if she could just save one Britney, that`s the equivalent of 20 normal women. All right?

HAMMER: Carlos, you bring up Britney. We have to move on to Britney Spears because, of course, we`re grading her tonight with my big orange highlighter.

On her report card a tough year from the start obviously, but when you look right at this thing, she was the only one who has not been to jail. Partying, check. Rehab, check, check and check. She`s been there three times. Charity, about $500 a month according to those court papers in her divorce case. Motherhood, not going so well. Carlos, what do you think on next year`s report card, might there be a check mark next to jail?

DIAZ: I think no. I think right now, she gets an "I" for incomplete. Because 2008 is going to be the big year when April we find out whether she will keep her kids or get her kids back, or she`s going to lose them full time. Let me be the bad guy here and say, if Britney is not a bad girl, she can`t have a song out called, "Piece of Me" right now, where she talks about being a baby`s mama and also being full of drama and things like that. She kind of needs that. (CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: She already recorded that, Carlos. Let`s give her hope and credit that maybe she`ll move it on. I have to move it along because we have to get to Lindsay Lohan, of course. Let`s run down her checklist. Jail for DUI, check. Partying, that`s on pause. Rehab, yes, a few checks there. Charity, not so much. Motherhood, not yet. Professor Jane Velez-Mitchell, back to you. Looks like Lindsay may be turning things around. What`s your take?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I think so. And first of all, I have to say motherhood shouldn`t always be a positive. Sometimes I think it takes tremendous maturity to say, "Hey, I`m not going to be a mom. Maybe I`ll (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and do some charity work for orphaned children."

I do feel Lindsay Lohan has changed. I think she really hit bottom when the world was so horrified by that wild high-speed chase she was involved in. It was very ugly. And sometimes that incomprehensible demoralization and just sense of who is this person, when that hits you, that`s when you hit bottom.

She also went to a rehab outside of Hollywood which was wonderful in Utah and I think being in nature and being away from the crazy Hollywood scene has really been positive for her.

HAMMER: Well, professors, I thank you one and all. I think we`ve learned a lot tonight. And hopefully, the people who need to turn their grades around for next semester will in fact do that. Professor Ken Baker, Professor Carlos Diaz and of course, the lovely Professor Jane Velez- Mitchell, thank you very much.

So the party girls - yes, they had quite a year but did any of them make a big enough mess to be our pick for the most controversial of 2007? Well, you`re going to have to wait a little while to find out. Make sure you tune in next Tuesday when SHOWBIZ TONIGHT names "The Most Controversial Celebrity Of 2007."

All right. I don`t know, maybe the party girls need to take a cue from some of their Hollywood neighbors and settle down with nice professional athletes. Plenty of Hollywood hotties seem to have found the man of their dreams on football fields and basketball courts. So, are athletes replacing rock stars as the preferred partner of Hollywood beauties? "Beauty and the Jock," coming up next. Also this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: We`re sisters and therefore born to be rivals.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Paris and Nikki Hilton have nothing on these two. The Boleyn sisters, Anne and Mary, fighting for the affection of King Henry VIII, and Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson bring them to life in the new film, "The Other Boleyn Girl." We`ve got your first look at that. Coming up.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Hey, welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. And tonight, the phenomenon of "The Beauty and the Jock." Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo are reportedly now an item. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can now tell you they are just the latest example of a hot Hollywood star hooking up with an equally hot sports star.

Joining us tonight in New York, Dr. Judy Kuriansky, clinical psychologist and author of this book "The Complete Idiot`s Guide to a Healthy Relationship." Also in New York, Steve Santagati. Steve is the author of "The Manual." Dr. Judy, Steve, welcome.

You know, I mentioned Jessica and Tony, but there are so many other examples besides those two, that includes "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria. And as we know, Eva is now married to basketball star Tony Parker. Then there is, of course, perhaps the most famous "Beauty and the Jock" couple of all of them, Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and her husband David Beckham.

Dr. Judy, what`s the common thread here? Were they all looking for love in all the wrong places, maybe, before they found each other?

JUDY KURIANSKY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: Well, the real key here, Brooke, is the market value. What do you bring to the table? That`s how attraction goes. So, it can either be beauty or power or money and there`s always what we call a balance of those when people are being attracted to one another.

So, in this case, the jocks have got still the money and they`ve still got the attraction because the QBs, the quarterbacks in football, are always studs. And then you`ve got the looks matching and the money matching and so there`s a lot of match going on here without the fact that you`re in the same career. And, therefore, you`re not so competitive. You both have fans and you bring your fans together and in that way you built an even bigger power base.

ANDERSON: Steve, what are your thoughts?

STEVE SANTAGATI, AUTHOR, "THE MANUAL": Well, Brooke, I think that you guys - I don`t know if you are but I`m assuming that you`re looking at it like the girls chose the guys; the women chose the athlete.

ANDERSON: Not necessarily.

SANTAGATI: Don`t forget, athletes love trophies. There`s The Super Bowl. There`s the Stanley Cup. And a lot of these women are great, great trophies. They`re very pretty. They`re all beautiful. They`re all famous in their own right and it makes them look great. T

These guys are - don`t forget, these guys are athletes. They played their sport in junior high, high school, they grew up like this and then they get in this world. There are a lot of girls throwing themselves at these guys constantly, but not celebrity chicks.

KURIANSKY: Well, I would have to agree that`s in fact the case, too. And Tony Romo, for example, says he was a fan of Jessica Simpson.

ANDERSON: Let`s talk about those two. They`ve been spending a lot of time together. You know, as we know Jessica has had heartbreak after heartbreak since divorcing Nick Lachey. Dr. Judy, why are these two good for each other?

KURIANSKY: Well, I think because he adores her. Of course, that would work in all situations but she doesn`t have to worry about the competition with Nick. And he loves her and she - there`s something else about sports stars that really can make it work and that is when they`re out there sweating and their adrenaline is really running -

SANTAGATI: They`re real men.

KURIANSKY: There`s a tremendous hormonal rush and that really ends up spilling over not only to their attraction, and there`s been research about that. If you walk over a shaky bridge, you find women far more attractive than when you`re on level ground. And so those guys are just streaming hormones -

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: The athletes - they are very masculine. And, Steve, I want to get to the next on our list of "Beauty and the Jock" couples, "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and basketball player Tony Parker. Steve, they do seem to be doing great so far. Could it be that they don`t have to worry about competing against each other professionally? Dr. Judy mentioned this as well.

SANTAGATI: Well, I think that`s true. I think that these couples work a lot of times because they`re both famous. They understand those pressures that come with being famous but their careers are different enough that the conversations at dinner table is not boring. It`s not like, "Boy, that lighting guy was horrible." They get to talk about other things and it`s different enough.

They both make their own money which is fantastic. They`re both very independent and, also, they can have fun. Although, you`ve got to look, Eva Longoria is so little and Tony Parker - I always wonder what this is going look like laying down. I don`t know, is that just me?

KURIANSKY: Laying down - actually it evens out the situation that way when it comes to the bedroom.

ANDERSON: Well, oh I see.

KURIANSKY: You see, really, you don`t always have to worry about that. You can adjust in all kinds of ways.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: I`m glad we cleared up those details. All right.

SANTAGATI: Go ahead. Go ahead, Brooke. Next on the list.

ANDERSON: Next on the list.

KURIANSKY: People were worried about it. They`ve been curious about that.

ANDERSON: OK. Yes, everyone is, and then we cleared it up. And moving now to Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, her equally famous soccer superstar husband, David Beckham. Dr. Judy, they met when they were both rising superstars. So what was the attraction and why has it lasted, because it has?

KURIANSKY: Because they both really are a power couple together. And that`s what a lot of the celebrities want, whether they`re in the sports world or in the acting world. When you bring those two power points together, it explodes into a big thing.

They`re both after fame. They`re both after being important. You could tell when they moved from England to move here. That was Posh` big go was to make it big with their TV show that didn`t quite work. So it`s those two power coming together to be a power couple.

ANDERSON: You disagree, Steve?

SANTAGATI: Yes. I think Victoria is the brains behind that duo. And I think he`s very, very good-looking. But I don`t know if he`s the sharpest businessman or not. With Victoria, it`s so obvious. His whole - as they evolve as a couple, his look changed around her, not the other way around.

KURIANSKY: Well, that`s fashion, but he puts things to the table. The other thing -

ANDERSON: Well, hopefully - you guys, I do have to end it there, unfortunately. Hopefully, all of these couples - each is loved and not for superficial reasons.

KURIANSKY: Well, I don`t know about that, Brooke.

ANDERSON: Steve Santagati, Dr. Judy Kuriansky, thank you both. All right, you know, everybody hang on to your corsets, because long before, and I do mean long before the Hilton sisters and the Olsen twins, there were another couple of famous sisters, Anne and Mary Boleyn. And Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson are playing them as they fight for the affections of King Henry VIII. We have your first look at "The Other Boleyn Girl," next on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
