CHICAGO -- The frigid wind that has whipped off Lake Michigan all winter has given way to a delightful spring breeze. Now is a great time to visit Chicago, but rather than follow the tourists to Michigan Avenue, consider discovering North Clark Street.
On Clark, you won't find Marshall Fields or Nike Town, but you will find a Japanese art store with some of the finest rice paper in the Midwest, unique second-hand boutiques, Wrigley Field, and Swedish pancakes that melt in your mouth.
A five-mile journey north on Clark Street takes you through three distinct neighborhoods -- Lincoln Park, Lake View/Wrigleyville, and Andersonville. In each, you can experience Chicago's past, its people and its gusto.
