'George and Pink' Fresh Vegetables
It's hard to miss the "George and Pink" sign along the shady road to Edisto Beach. If the curious follow the dirt road it indicates, they'll stumble upon a modest wooden building that houses the "George and Pink" fresh vegetable stand. The father-daughter business stocks fresh island-grown produce. The worn wooden tables inside are piled with plump tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, giant cabbage and the sweetest, fattest watermelons the rich Edisto soil will give. For the price, you'll never find anything so good in a supermarket.
