Lyle Menendez marries pen pal sweetheart

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Lyle Menendez, who is serving a life sentence along with his brother Erik for the 1989 slayings of their parents, married his long-time pen pal, attorney Leslie Abramson said.
Appearing on CNN's "Larry King Live" Thursday, Abramson confirmed that Lyle married Anna Erikkson the day he was sentenced last July. She also said it was a legal marriage performed by Superior Court Judge Nancy Brown.
"I was the proxy who put the ring on her finger, and Erik and Lyle were on the speakerphone," Abramson told CNN-affiliate KCOP Wednesday. "It was just like a regular wedding."
