The Ransom Note
On the morning of December 26, 1996, JonBenet's mother Patsy Ramsey reported finding a 2 1/2 page note on a set of stairs in the Ramsey home. Directed to JonBenet's father John Ramsey, the note purported to be from "a small foreign faction" calling itself S.B.T.C.. The note demanded $118,000 from the Ramseys for the safe release of their daughter. JonBenet's body was found later that day in the basement of the Ramseys' home.

The Autopsy Report
JonBenet's autopsy report, released in August over the objections of investigators, confirmed much of what previously had been made public about the death of the 6-year-old beauty queen. It did not, however, indicate the time of death nor offer conclusive evidence as to whether JonBenet was sexually assaulted.
