No students were injured.

Chourney said one of those wounded was a male teacher hit in the chest. An aide to Richmond Mayor Larry Chavis identified him as history teacher and basketball coach Gregory Carter.

The other person injured was a female guidance counselor, who was grazed by a bullet.

The male suspects were not identified and there was no immediate word on a motive for the shootings.

It was the latest in a spate of school shootings since October, including fatal shootings in West Paducah, Kentucky; Pearl, Mississippi; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Springfield, Oregon.

Tuesday is the last day of school in Richmond before the summer break.
