(CNN) -- Most Americans favor the Kosovo peace agreement Yugoslavia accepted late last week, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Sunday.
But only one in five of the 1,053 adults polled June 4-5 believe that Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic will comply with the terms of that agreement once the details are hammered out. Only 13 percent of the public opposes the peace plan, although a quarter are unfamiliar with it.
The survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent.
The possibility of peace has boosted Bill Clinton's approval ratings to 60 percent, according to the poll. Two weeks ago it had dropped to 53 percent, largely as a result of growing concerns over the situation in Kosovo.
