Report: FBI seized McVeigh's Waco photos

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (CNN) -- FBI agents seized photos that Timothy McVeigh had taken with him on a trip to the burned-out Branch Davidian complex near Waco, Texas, according to an Oklahoma newspaper.

The Daily Oklahoman reported Saturday that in an April 22 search of the Decker, Michigan, house of McVeigh's friend, James Nichols, agents also seized pamphlets put together by Davidian leader David Koresh.

Information on the FBI's search came from a 32-page inventory that was in a sealed document released to the public last week.

DETROIT, Michigan (CNN) -- About 2,000 gay-rights activists assembled in Detroit Friday to discuss a national strategy for influencing elections and changing their communities.

The gathering is billed as the largest gay and lesbian conference ever. Gay and lesbian leaders say their challenges include educating the public about their agenda and defending themselves against attacks from the religious right.



Deacon convicted for killing motorist with crossbow

NEW BEDFORD, Massachusetts (CNN) -- A church deacon was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison this week for killing another motorist with a crossbow.

Authorities say Donald Graham got angry about Michael Blodgett's driving maneuver and chased him for 7 miles. After both drivers pulled onto the side of the road, prosecutors said, Graham took his crossbow and shot Blodgett in the chest.
