LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Brian "Kato" Kaelin's deposition transcripts suggest Nicole Brown Simpson may have thought she was a woman marked for death. The transcripts were released on Tuesday.
Kaelin told lawyers that O.J. Simpson's ex-wife often described Simpson as an abusive, jealous man who someday would kill her.
Daniel Petrocelli, attorney for the family of Ronald Goldman, asked, "How did she say O.J. would kill her?" "She said with scissors," Kaelin answered.
Kaelin added, "She had said that, 'If O.J. would ever kill me, he'll get away with it because he's O.J. Simpson.'"
Kaelin also said Simpson was much more upset after his daughter's dance recital than Kaelin described when he testified during Simpson's criminal trial.
Kaelin said Simpson was frustrated the day of the murders because Nicole wouldn't let him see their daughter and because she took her children out to dinner without inviting him.
Simpson was acquitted in October of the June 12, 1994, slayings of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, outside her condominium. But, the victims' families have filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against him.
Petrocelli, said he is pleased with Kaelin's most recent testimony.
"I believe that he's a genuine, sincere witness who has first-hand observations and first-hand accounts to report with no reason to lie," he said.
But transcripts suggest that Simpson's attorney, Robert Baker, repeatedly pressed Kaelin on his testimony. At one point Baker raised the possibility that Kaelin was involved in the murders, asking him whether Kaelin's boots matched the bloody shoe prints at the crime scene.
Kaelin said he didn't know, but would try to find the boots he was wearing that day.
Also Tuesday, Baker blasted the news media and attorneys for the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Goldman, accusing them of trying to shape public opinion about the case before it goes to trial.
