The following is a timetable of Rabin's funeral ceremonies as announced by the Israeli Government Press Office:
10 a.m. (3 a.m. EST) Monday - foreign dignitaries received by Israeli President Ezer Weizman
12 p.m. (5 a.m. EST) - Lying in state of Rabin's body at Israeli parliament building ends.
1:30 p.m. (6:30 a.m. EST) - Rabin's coffin is taken in a motorcade to the Mount Herzl cemetery.
2 p.m. (7 a.m. EST) - Casket arrives at cemetery and is placed on dais in front of tomb of Zionist founder Theodor Herzl. Sirens sound across the country as Israel observes nationwide two minutes of silence in honor of the late prime minister.
2:02 p.m. (7:02 a.m. EST) - Religious funeral ceremony is conducted by chief rabbi of Israeli armed forces, followed by speeches. Afterward, Rabin's family and a few senior dignitaries will accompany the coffin to the burial plot. After a brief prayer, Rabin will be buried.
