TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- Iran's foreign minister again denied Monday that Iran was involved in the bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia. "We have repeatedly denied involvement by the Republic of Iran in the incident," Ali Akbar Velayati told CNN International.
Velayati also told CNNI that the U.S. media had incorrectly reported that Saudi Arabia had recently implicated Iran in the June 25 bombing. According to Velayati, in a recent broadcast interview, the Saudi Interior Minister denied that any evidence against Iran was given to the United States.
Nineteen U.S. Air Force personnel were killed in the bombing.
