LONDON (CNN) -- Here is the official schedule for the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, as provided by Buckingham Palace officials. All times are local (For Eastern Daylight Time subtract 5 hours).

Saturday, September 6
9:08 a.m. Coffin leaves Kensington Palace on guard carriage. It will be draped in the royal standard with flowers on top.
9:30 a.m. Doors open at Westminster Abbey for first guests.
10:15 a.m. VIPs go into the Abbey.
10:26 a.m. Invited guests move into position behind the coffin as it reaches the mall. A list of guests will be made available, palace officials said. No decision had been made Thursday as to whether members of the royal or Spencer families would be among the mourners walking behind the coffin.
10:35 a.m. Spencer family members arrive at Westminster Abbey.
10:40 a.m. Junior members of the royal family arrive at Westminster Abbey.
10:45 a.m. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip leave Buckingham Palace. The royal standard is lowered, to be replaced by a Union Jack at half mast.
10:50 a.m. The queen and Prince Philip arrive at Westminster Abbey.
10:55 a.m. Coffin and flowers arrive at Westminster Abbey. The guests are ushered into St. Margaret's Church, next door to the Abbey, where they will watch on a video link.
11 a.m. Funeral service starts.
12 noon Funeral service ends with a one-minute silence.
12:03 p.m. Congregation departs after the queen and Prince Philip leave to return to Buckingham Palace.
12:15 p.m. Coffin leaves on its journey to the Spencer home. No arrival time yet at Althorp. Expected 70-mile journey to take a minimum of two hours.
2 p.m. Book of condolence re-opens, this time at Kensington Palace. It stays open until Monday, September 15.
