Story title: Enfants nés au maquis cherchent identité
Story summary: The children of the Maquis and their quest for identity. A section of Algerian society, has largely gone unnoticed. This story gives a voice to the children of guerrilla fighters from the “Guerre Salle” or “Dirty War” of the late 80s and 90s who, as a result of outmoded legislation and lack of political will, are stuck in a statutory limbo that does not recognise their existence as fully-fledged citizens. Nassima’s story examines both the legal, sociological and psychological implications of this reality, with the help of psychology and legal experts.
