BANGKOK, Thailand (CNN) -- Viva Las Bangkok? It seemed as such in Thailand, as Elvis Presley impersonators gyrated and
crooned with slicked-back hair and flashy costumes to pay
tribute to the singing legend 22 years after his death on
August 16, 1977.
Jierasak Pinsuwan speaks no English, but has sung Elvis tunes
for 16 years. Vasu Sangsingkeo has no problem with the
language. He attended Oxford University in England.
But the one that stole the show at the tribute performance, belting out "Jailhouse Rock," was a tiny six-year-old girl. Bangkok Bureau Chief John Raedler has more on the Presley pretenders.
