  • Parliament: Seychelles has a unicameral legislature, the National Assembly, which is composed of 35(maximum) members. All members serve five-year terms.
Description of electoral system:
  • The president is elected by popular vote for a five-year term.
  • 25 members of the National Assembly are directly elected by simple majority vote. The remainder are allocated on a proportional basis to parties winning at least 10% of the total votes cast.
