Israel prepares to protect the civilian population from potential health risks while Hamas and their radical brothers in Al Qaeda spends their millions on guns, rockets, ammunition, explosives, C4 vests, terrorist training camps, building bunkers for the leadership, cigarettes and living the good life in the Beirut Hilton.

mohammed gharbawi   August 23rd, 2009 9:29 pm ET

Israel takes the necessary measures to confront swine flu and to protect israelis from all illnesses even by killing palestinians and taking their organs. This is anisraeli right and palestinians are only subhuman creatures. Who says a word on this will be called an antisemit.

John A   August 23rd, 2009 10:21 pm ET

Filipe University Rector, this is your weakest attempt yet. Its just another blind and irrelevant rant. By the way if an Israeli gets ill, it seems Israel is prepared to snatch the internal organs of a Palestinian for any potential transplant.

If the Israelis will not allow Palestinians the right over their own body organs, then I doubt Israeli Arabs will receive any benefit from Israel’s swine flue precautions.

Keep going Filipe. If you hit the keep board enough, you might get lucky a string together a sentence worth reading.

Filipe   August 24th, 2009 8:13 am ET

mohammed ghrabagi,

At least you know and accept the world opinion of you and your people. There is certainly nothing you can do to change it.

Filipe   August 24th, 2009 8:20 am ET

John A,

Sorry you don't understand the concept explained in the video. They did say "entire population" of Israel.

Maybe you should look up the term "entire population"- since you don't seem to understand the meaning -- and I certainly can't dumb down the definition to a level which could possibly help you.

John A   August 24th, 2009 11:17 am ET

Filipe are you the only person left on earth that does not know the entire population of Israel is not treated equally under its apartheid regime.

Jews first and who cares about Arabs is all that is promoted in Israel. Get a life Filipe, you sound extraordinarily unrealistic.

University rector   August 24th, 2009 1:02 pm ET

John A

name one arab country where jews sit in its parliament are are allowed to speak out against that country

arab members of the israeli parliament do it day in and day out

that's what i call apartheid

Filipe   August 24th, 2009 3:01 pm ET

John A,

So you are an expert on Israeli social structure and their treatment of Israeli citizens??

How did that come to be ??

And this claim is coming from the same John A who thinks that it is the accused who is saddled with the burden to provide proof of innocence !!!! What a hoot!!!

You don't even have have a firm grasp on the interaction of society where YOU live-- let alone a a foreign country completely on the the opposite of the planet from where you live !!!!

Really--we should all listen closely as you explain to the rest of us -the intricacies of functioning society of Israel !!!

G.   August 24th, 2009 4:58 pm ET

Compared to Arabs and Muslims around, there are very few Jewish people in Israel. Is that wrong? They don't even have all the oil. It has always been hard for Jewish people. I wish they had the oil of Saudi Arabia or the other countries, but they do not. It's just about work and innovation there. Or at least it seems to me that they work hard to get farther.

miriam   August 24th, 2009 8:37 pm ET

John A,

You are obviously oblivious to the fact that among the numerous patients that Israel has treated and help recover from swine flu have been Arab Israelis and Arab residents of Jerusalem.

university rector   August 25th, 2009 6:58 pm ET

and now John A aka professor aka mohamed garbagy will ignore all of the above posts and come up with another outrageous accusation

Hope   August 25th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

G–" It’s just about work and innovation there...."

You hypnotize me with your ideas. I am serious. You nailed it. (Must be that Southern weather). That is correct. It is about (work) and (innovation). With our annual $3 Billion of welfare checks handed to our special friend Israel, AND the Free-Bees in Military Weapons, (god knows what else goes under the table). They CAN reach high and beyond!!..

Working hard in rewarding $1M (of our disposable income) on a drunken beach-bum day dreaming of Mermaids..
Innovating ways of snatching human organs from dead Palestinians bodies. God bless America for making it all happen. And remember, the more we give, the more jobs for us.

University rector   August 26th, 2009 8:54 am ET

Hope

check your figures

there has not been any civilian aid to Israel for years now

no freebies either, the military aid has to be spent in the US of A thereby ensuring employement for tenthousans of Americans that YOU prefer to go on the dole

how unAmerican of you!

miriam   August 26th, 2009 10:03 am ET

Hope,

Once again, Israel pays back most of her aid from the US into the US, thereby supporting the economy and enabling American workers to keep their jobs She also repays by way of aiding US scientific research and development and sharing intelligence and security information

Surrounding Arab states receive, and repay little if any, while tolerating and often inciting hate and terrorismagainst the US.

Dennis Junior   August 26th, 2009 11:43 am ET

I am glad, that Israeli authorities are preparing for the swine flu that could be coming to the country....

=Dennis Junior=

Filipe   August 26th, 2009 11:48 am ET

Hope,

Nice to see you think so highly of the values your good old USA believes in.

Why don't you stop whining and crying on the blogs about it and focus your hate in the direction of the Obama and his sidekick Hilary.

And who exactly is it do you think offered the $1M reward for the mermaid photo?? The Israeli gov't??

It's really funny to see you guys whine and cry because you can't have your way.

John A   August 26th, 2009 1:44 pm ET

G writes about Israel: It’s just about work and innovation there.
------------------------------–

Hope you must admit G makes a good point. Israels innovation extends to:

1. Jewish title deeds to property that Palestinians have built with their own hands before the State of Israel was conceived.

2. Israels scientific innovations have discovered that the Jewish DNA of the biblical period has mutated into blue eyed blond haired Russian Jews of todays Israel.

3. Jewish innovation has even discovered that Moussaka was pioneered by Jews and not as was popularly believed to be by the Greeks.

4. Even Israels historians have been incredibly innovation about the historical lineage of Jews in Palestine. Apparently Jews were very populous in the ancient middle east, but then they were exiled. Funny thing is no country on earth actually has records of receiving the Jewish exiles. But it must of happened because the Jews said it did.

In short they have invented a country, a history, a story that they are closer to God than all of God creations. And now they have invented an international menu.

Very inventive and extremely dishonest.

Filipe   August 27th, 2009 10:39 am ET

John A,

Boo Hoo Hoo!

The Jews stole my land, stole my Moussaka, stole my falafel, allowed foreigners to move to Israel and married people of other ethnic cultures.

Boo hoo hoo!!

Have you nothing better to whine and cry about ??

Must be having another bad day-this seems to be the case on a regular basis.

Get over it John boy--one cares!!

miriam   August 27th, 2009 3:07 pm ET

John A,

1. Jews lived, built property and owned title deeds preceding 1948.

2.The bible describes Jews of that period with all kind of complexions. Israelis today, just like Palestinians and other Arabs include all complexions.

3. There are food dishes that are served in many regions that are variations of the same. The west considers moussaka ( not a word of Greek origin) a Greek dish however variations are common to other Mediterranean communities.

4.There is plenty of evidence of the migration of Jews to Asia, Africa, Europe and beyond, before and after the Romans who introduced the name Palestine to a province under their control, and that there were communities that never left the land.

The greatest inventions are those ideas that you create and choose to believe.

Hope   August 28th, 2009 4:51 pm ET

"Moussaka ([musa'ka]; Greek: μουσακάς, South Slavic: musaka/мусака, from Turkish musakka, ultimately from Arabic: مسقعة‎ musaqqaʿa "chilled" is an eggplant (aubergine)-based dish of the Balkans and the Middle East Though it is part of all the cuisines of the former Ottoman region and has an Arabicname, in the West, it is best-known in its Greece form."

"Ultimately from Arabic: مسقعة‎ musaqqa". That is very impressive.

Isn't it amazing how the Arabic influences and inventions in the region are so deeply rooted. What exactly did Israel contribute to the region? Where is their foot prints?

What business is it of newly born Israel to put Moussaka (be it Arabic, or Greek origin) inside a Jewish website, under the Title, Israeli Dishes?..way too deceiving.

Filipe   August 28th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

Hope,

Boo hoo hoo !!

The Jews stole my moussaka !

Boo hoo hoo!!

But I guess-since it actually comes from the Balkans--doesn't that actually make it a Jewish dish ??? According to you-that's where the Jews really come from !!

university rector   August 28th, 2009 9:09 pm ET

hope

you are not going to tell anybody what to eat, nor how to call it

because somebody dared to call the GREEK (not arabic) dish moussaka as having an israeli style version?

miriam   August 29th, 2009 6:42 pm ET

Hope,

The word is also derived from the Hebrew, musak, which means "heated".
I believe the dish is more commonly consumed warm rather than chilled!

Israeli dishes ie dishes commonly consumed in Israel, by multi-cultural Jews and Arabs.

Is it a sin for Jews to eat food in common with other cultures?

There is no need to list the contributions of Israel to the region and even less need to list the contribution of Jews.

university rector   September 11th, 2009 9:28 pm ET

HoPe

What exactly did Israel contribute to the region? Where is their foot prints?
