At all times for all peoples comedy is subversive, a tool against the sheep-like acceptance of the masses of whatever the power brokers wish to feed them.
It is an ancient but dangerous tool; the masters, foreign of local , are more than willing to shut the mouths of successful social-comedians.
I wish the Palestinian comedy group great success and continuing good health. I yearn for the time when Israeli comics were thick on the ground, where the hell are they now?

arieh,

Israeli comics and their shows are very popular and certainly not thin on the ground.

Where do you think these Palestinian comedians got the idea from?

Why do you think they have developed the mentality where they realize that it is possible to make fun of authority which they admit is so rare in the Arab world?

Haven't see that show yet except here on CNN but we sure need more of such reporting to humanize the Palestinians. After all we all have the same problems and concerns wither we were Palestinians or Israelis.
