The story

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Wednesday that he believes within weeks Israel and the Palestinian Authority will begin talks aimed at a permanent resolution of their decades-long conflict.

"I think that's what will happen, actually, over the next few weeks," Blair told CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Wednesday.

"In the end, the issue really is this: What is the context within which this negotiation is being launched?" he said.

"The worry for the Palestinians is that, if you don't lay down some conditions ... the negotiation won't be credible. What the Israelis say is, 'Look, we'll negotiate without precondition. We're not prepared until we start negotiating to yield this or yield that,'" he said on CNN's new show "Amanpour."

"Now, personally, I think ... what will happen and should happen is that we try and put together the best possible context of the launch of the negotiation. It may not be everything that everyone wants, but get the thing under way." Read full article

Palestinians are being blackmailed.

Israel says, "We occupy your land with our military which has been donated by America. Until you agree to our terms of peace, we will continue to occupy, rob and murder your people. Our terms for peace will allow Israel to keep all the areas natural resources and sites of religious importance".

Palestinians reply,"Until you untie us and allow us to move freely, we can not negotiate. We do not ask anything from you, we only ask that you give back what you have stolen."

Filipe   September 25th, 2009 7:01 pm ET

John A,

What a misguided concept of reality you have!!!

Why do you think that Muslim religious sites are of any importance to Israel?? That's truly a statement of ignorance.

Nothing more that the typical whining and crying- attempting to blame all the Palis problems on someone other than themselves.

No one listens to that lame nonsense any longer!

They should have accepted the offer by the UN 61 years ago-they'd have an Arab State with part of Jerusalem as it's capital-– Something that they'll no longer ever see due to their ignorance, obstinance, hatred and terrorist agenda. They should have quit while they were ahead!!

But now, it's people like you who want to blame Israel for the Palis self imposed situation. !!!

What a joke !!!

There will never be peace between the Palestinian Muslim Arabs and the Israeli Jews. Both peoples were always fighting with each other during the British Mandate between the two world wars. The establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was only a continuation of this, and has been ever since.

With that said, I have always believed that even if the Israeli Jews completely vacated the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the Palestinian Muslim Arabs would still raise hell about something.

The bottom line is that Palestinian Muslim Arabs don't want a State of Israel to exist. They may say so publicly, but in my opinion this is quite insincere, and is public propaganda.

Joseph Rota   September 25th, 2009 11:38 pm ET

there are many social wrongs that we continually do every day, of every week regarding energy. And that is the only thing that uranium & plutonium should be used for. This is because nuclear energy is one of the most efficient and least waste producing of all the non renewable energy resources. And yet it is what we in the developed world take for granted most our energy. Therefore it should not be used for making doomsday devices. And I strongly believe that every country in the world that possesses nuclear weapons should deconstruct every last warhead. My reasons are that we have fear over unsecure nations, but it could also be true that other nations fear us to be unsecure. No administration in recent memory has been so reckless and thick-headed as the Bush administration. In sooth; any country that develops nuclear weapons is doing it in fear of other countries or sadly, to intimidate their enemies. So in reality they are making the same mistake that we (the USA) have already made.

John A   September 26th, 2009 10:58 am ET

Filipe writes: They should have accepted the offer by the UN 61 years ago—they’d have an Arab State with part of Jerusalem as it’s capital—– Something that they’ll no longer ever see due to their ignorance, obstinance, hatred and terrorist agenda. They should have quit while they were ahead!!

Jewish immigrants were encouraged under the British mandate directly after WWI. While Palestine was under British control, the British allowed a European Jewish civilian invasion of Palestine. This would change an ancient and thousand year old demographics of the territory.

Who gave Britain the right to allow European Jewish immigrants a chance to invade Palestine???

And who says Palestinians are denied the basic human right to defend their homes and land against such an invasion?

Now according to Filipe the Palestinians should have "quit while they were ahead" i.e. accept that European Jewish immigrants will rob Palestinian land. The Palestinians did not accept this and their courage to fight against imperialism should be congratulated. If Filipe were a ruler, his gutless response to invasion would be to quit and surrender. Filipe has already claimed this is what the Palestinians should have done. But instead the Palestinians chose to resist invasion and oppression, just as Churchill and George Washington once did.

Valiantly the Palestinians have resisted for 60 years against all odds and against overwhelming Israeli / US military. The middle east crises started around 1920 when the British encouraged a European Jewish immigrant invasion of Palestine. Since then the Palestinians have stood on their own without support as the world struggled through WWII and then the cold war. The courageous Palestinians continue to struggle for their liberty and the Middle East conflict will not end until the Palestinians are free. Or it will end with Israel having the political freedom to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from their land. For 60 years America have granted Israel the political freedom to crush the Palestinians. This political freedom is protected by the US Jewish lobby.

We all remember Obama saying, " a change we can believe in". Obama said he will break the power of the lobbyists. Obama said he wanted a total freeze of Israels illegal settlements which are built in occupied territory. Now Obama is in the pocket of the Israeli lobby, he does not need a freeze of settlements any longer. Obama who wanted to break the lobbies has now joined a lobby. The Obama presidency shows who is really in control of America, and it is not the president. Shame on America, Shame on Obama and shame on all those who speak like the blogger Filipe. You are all gutless and incapable of building a fair and free world for all mankind.

John A   September 26th, 2009 1:18 pm ET

Joseph Rota, Are you aware that Israel is widely believed to posses at least 75 nuclear war heads, but Israel will not disclose its nuclear capacity. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East which has an illegally military occupation of it’s neighbours territory. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East which has developed and escalated the deployment nuclear weapons. Why does the west turn a blind eye towards Israel and then sanction Israel’s neighbours if they also hope to have nuclear weapons. Israel’s neighbours have every reason to defend themselves against Israel. Israel illegally occupies Syrian territory and Palestinian territory. If Israel was forced to abandon nuclear weapons then America could legitimately have concerns about Iran. But America should not allow its Israeli buddies to have nuclear weapons and then denounce Iran. This is simple hypocrisy.

miriam   September 26th, 2009 7:37 pm ET

John A.

Israel's military has not been "donated" by the US.
As has been argued many times on this blog, Israel pays back much of the aid she gets from the US.

Occupation occurs when a territory is captured from a recognized sovereign. In 1967, the West Bank did not have recognized sovereign rule, therefore there is no occupation under international law.

Military operations in the West Bank are for defensive purposes, the responsibility a democratic elected government has for its citizens.

Israel is not robbing or murdering.

Israeli and Palestinians have restricted movement, both having to sit at road-blocks with Israeli citizens denied entry to many areas including those containing important religious sites for Jews. Palestinians, however, intend to make their state free of Jews, just like the Arabs have made Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other regions of the Muslim world.

Jews have lived in their homeland for centuries, preceeding the birth of Christianity and Islam and long before the migration of Arabs from Arabia. During all the conquests, there has never been a Palestinian state or nation, therefore their land has not been stolen.
It is obvious from undeniable historical evidence that the land was inhabited by the Jews and that they owned land, ruled kingdoms and had a continual presence until the Jordanians kicked them out of the West Bank/Judea/Samaria.

Following link is describing the lying cult

2:John comment: "allow Israel to keep all the sites of religious importance"”.

Example of Arabs government of holly places:
The Jewish cemetery on Mt. Scopus dates back several centuries. After the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem in 1948/49, they used the gravestones to build pig stalls.
At the place of the Western Wall, one of the holiest places of Judaism, they put a public pissoir.
Jews access to holly places have been denailed

Example of Israel government of holly places:
Freedom of religion – freedom of worship—good maintenance of holly places is Israel low and practice .

John A,,

There you go with your whining and crying and lame a$$ sob stories again!

#1)Under British Mandate- the Brits had every right to admit or refuse to admit anyone they chose to the territory of British Mandate Palestine!

Are you so ignorant as to not be aware of this fact ??

#2) The UN and the voting majority of the member nations decide what land in Mandate Palestine belonged to who.

The Arabs refusal to accept this fails miserably to be some "right" to wage war, terror and murder upon anyone !!

#3) None of the violence, terror, murder, rockets, kidnappings and war which the Arabs have propagated in the past 62 years has resulted in anything short repeated land losses, death of the innocent, poverty and hunger for the Arab population of the Palestinian Territories.

If you see an advantage and benefit to continue this ignorance for the indefinite future–then you're no less ignorant than those who continue to pursue it!

#4) Boo hoo hoo!!!!- whine and cry some more because your chosen one turned out to be nothing more than an empty suit--just as hi critics foretold prior to his election !

But you're really missing the obvious, John A--you're simply on the wrong side of the fence--the rest of the world fails to agree with you and your terrorist witherings of hatred and constant whimpering of oppression.

All the things that the Arabs are whining and crying about not having--could have been theirs--61 years ago--they're still too friggin' stupid to realize it. And you don't seem to be any better off than them.

But that's OK- you can encourage the violence all you want --what do you have to worry about-- you live on the opposite side of the planet– on your sofa with PC watching the TV !!!

Ah ha ha ha ha ha !!!!

But he did say one thing that's correct– in Cairo– to the Arabs-- Israel is not going away!!!!

Filipe   September 28th, 2009 12:30 pm ET

John A,

Hypocrisy is Iran developing it's nuclear program covertly and hiding the details from t he IAEA-– they are a signatory of the NPT.

Israel is not a signatory to the NPT and developed their program prior to the establishment of the NPT- same as the US, China, Russia, France and the UK.

Get over it !!!! You can't hold someone accountable to and agreement they've never made !!!!

Boo hoo hoo!!!

Ali Dahmash   September 28th, 2009 2:15 pm ET

From an Arab Palestinian view, Israel, Hamas and Fatah are not serious about Peace. Hamas need to drop thier extremisim, Fatah are very corrupted and enjoy stealing public money, and Irsael doesn't show any intention to return land to Palestinians, end the occupation, ease the embargo, left the blockades. Peace is not only a talk on TV or words on paper. Peace means sacrifice.

Have anyone asked what Israelis want?
Have anyone asked what Paslestinains (Christians and Muslims) want?

The answer is no.
I'm a believer of a one secular state for all.

John A   September 28th, 2009 2:56 pm ET

Oh, the little Zionist gang goes of on another totally dishonest rant.

They claim that Israel does not illegally occupy Syria & Palestine. Google the facts and you will see this is a big fat Zionist lie. The world recognises Israel’s actions as an illegal occupation.

Israel offered peace, again a big fat Zionist lie. The past is the same as the present. Israel talks peace and at the same time it continues to expand its illeagl occupation.

Israel did not have its military donated by the USA. hahahahahaha, I doubt anybody even needs to google that to find it is another big fat Zionist lie.

And even the ranting Zionists did not deny that Israel has nuclear weapons and they are the only nation in the middle east to have escalated the threat of nuclear war.

Zionist lie and America supports their lies. Until this ends the Middle East conflict will continue. So far Obama has done nothing!

You the reader, may surprise by reading facts about Jerusalem that can be found on many internet sites

Following 2 cut and paste examples:
Churches became mosques. Evil smelling slaughterhouses and tanneries were set up near Jewish places of worship
But between 1948 and 1967 the Jordanians excluded Israeli Jews even from the Western Wall /The Jordanians also denied Israeli Jews access to the fifty-eight synagogues in the occupied Jewish Quarter of the Old City. Indeed, most of these synagogues were deliberately destroyed or vandalized.
•The entire Jewish Quarter of the Old City and its 68 synagogues, including the Hurva Synagogue, was deliberately blown up by Jordanian forces.[
•Jewish cemeteries were desecrated, including the cemetery on the Mount of Olives, and their tombstones removed for use as construction material

jews morality and values are that all the humen worldwide are the god children and that fore are equal in rights and duties.

Thay are not in line with :
the Natzi values of 1 DNA suppremity
the Islamist doctrine of 1 relogion , 1 goverment worldwide

miriam   October 1st, 2009 5:52 pm ET

Ali Dahmish,

The land was never part of a Palestinian state to return it to. Land was won in defensive wars from non-recognized sovereigns therefore there is no 'occupation'.

Israel withdrew all its citizens from Gaza, giving the Palestinians a chance to prove what they can do without any israeli presence. The result was a voiolent take-over by Hamas and an increase in rocket fire into Israeli communities.

Delivery of goods into Gaza was affected when Hamas took over since there was nobody for the Israeli authorities to liase with. At the same time, the EU monitors had to run for their lives because of Hamas threats, also adding to the problem.
Egypt also maintains a border with Gaza and have also restricted passage of goods.

Hundreds of roadblocks have been lifted in the West Bank, accompanied by an increase in attacks on Jewish communities.

Don't talk about Israel not making sacrifices.

miriam   October 1st, 2009 6:06 pm ET

John A,

Google provides many opinions and some facts but not always the truth. It is easy to find what you want to find to suit your ideology, but you can also find the opposite ideas if you try hard enough.

Of course Israel offered the Arabs/Palestinians all sorts of peace proposals. It started in 1947 when the Jews accepted a (far from practical for Israel) two-state proposal and the Arabs refused. Israel has been prepared to compromise time and time again but is met by non-negotiatiable rejections that can only be explained as a desire for the destruction of the Jewish state.

IF Israel has nuclear weapons, they've been there for 40 years and throughout numerous wars and conflicts have never been used nor threatened to be used.
There are numerous countries with nuclear weapons and ideally they should all be removed. But to single out Israel is discriminatory. Why not turn your attention to a country that has already used them.

Filipe   October 1st, 2009 6:16 pm ET

John A,

Google the facts and produce a link to a site where any International Court has adjudicated that "Israel illegally occupies Syria & Palestine" !!

I couldn't care less what the world thinks !!! What the world thinks is neither definitive nor determined upon any basis of legality.

Just because there's an over abundance of pundits and opinionated know it alls in the world doesn't give credence to your claim of so called "illegal occupation"!

miriam   October 1st, 2009 6:19 pm ET

You never knew that the Jewish cemetery, actually on the Mt of Olives, and dating back more than 1000 years, was desecrated under the Jordanians?

Arabs have built houses over sections of the graveyard, tombstones are smashed and incorporated into walls of buildings and roads and it is still used as a public washroom and playground by the residents of Arab Jerusalem.

Under Arab control, access to the Western Wall was forbidden to Jews and the area adjacent to the holiest place in Judaism was used as a gargage dump and animal waste deposit.
Just imagine that at the kabaah.

miriam   October 1st, 2009 6:32 pm ET

Israel is the state for the Jewish people but is not a religious state run, exclusively, according to Jewish religious law. It is a state that recognizes all religious communities allowing freedom of worship.

There are:
26 Islamic states
12 Roman Catholic
4 Eastern Orthodox
3 Lutheran
1 Anglican
1 Reformed
6 Buddhist

many of which forbid or restrict freedom of other religions.

What you are saying is that you want one state with an Islamic majority that will restrict Jewish religious practice. Otherwise you hope Iran will nuke the Jewish state which will include endangering the surrounding Arab nations since, as we have witnessed in the past, the hate for Israel is greater than their love for the Arabs.

God will punish the evil. lets say even jesus left the jews. what does that say about jews? muslims never had someone of this type leave them. even if there was peace. who would deal will the greedy man?also, why do israels carry guns and its always about security? when someone steals and kills he is always on the alert. palestinians don t carry guns and are not scared to walk in jewish neighborhoods. jews on the other hand don't b/c they did something wrong and are scared. i can go as far as saying even jewish americans dislike isreal. any time i meet one they always make the comment. peace will only occur when israel decides to lay down the guns, stop the killing, appoligize to jesus, become chirstians and stop the greed.

jesus is the only way for israel. this is coming from a muslim

miriam   October 6th, 2009 6:32 am ET

Sorry to hear about your family members.

Not all Israelis carry guns and those who do have to have a permit.
Many lives, both Jewish and Arab, have been saved when these weapons have had to be used in self-defence.

Whatever the circumstances of your family members death, you imply that Jewish snipers take up positions and fire indiscriminantly at Arabs. Even you know this is untrue and that Israeli soldiers, some of whom are not Jewish, have to take action in difficult conditions and circumstances. There have been very few instances of any Israeli shooting innocent civilians outside a situation of self-defence. More Israeli Jews have been killed in such circumstances than Arabs and more Jews killed by Arab snipers.Yes, plenty of Palestinians have guns.

Your comments on American Jews proves the company you keep to be very limited , polically motivated and indoctrinated.

Muslims believe in Jesus so following his words is not a sign of religious tolerance. Rather you are using such a statement to mask anti-semitic sentiments and demonization of Jews and Israel.

M Ariely – Are the United Nations Arab supporting terrorists? The latest UN Report says it was the Israeli army who hides behind civilians. All the human rights groups agree and non of them found any proof that Hamas hid behind civilians.

But don't worry Mr M Ariely, the truth wont reach the International Criminal Court as America will veto the truth again. And as long as you and your Israeli buddies can rely on America vetoing the truth, you will be free to spread your scandalous lies.

But Mr M Ariely you should ask people on the streets of London, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Rio, Stockholm etc... The overwhelming majority of public opinion is that Israel is a criminal terror state. This is also the overwhelming opinion in the UN. But America will protect Israel's lies and murder, so sleep well Mr M Ariely

I live in Europe, and can say first hand, your claim of European-"overwhelming majority of public opinion is that Israel is a criminal terror state" is nothing more than a figment of your imagination- as is your continued rantings an gibberish of hatred and constant support of terrorism.

Have you also forgotten-– or just completely ignored the decision made by the Arabs not to endorse or pursue the UN report on Gaza??

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!!!

Could it possibly be because that each and every Palestinian leader who has spoken openly and on record in support of the armed resistance and firing indiscriminate firing of rockets and mortars would be indicted for war crimes???? After all, the UN report identified these as war crimes, and every Hamas leader has openly endorsed and supported these actions. Many of the PLO, PA, and Fatah leadership has endorsed these actions as well. I venture to say thee would many more Arabs than Israelis hauled to the ICC if the Arabs were to allow the process to proceed.

There is also no question of those Palestinians involved in the Gaza conflict were hiding among civilians while engaging in armed conflict!!! There were no Hamasnicks in open unpopulated territory-they were ALL hiding and firing from civilian residences and from behind their protection!

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!!!

All of those so called Human Rights groups who investigated Gaza acknowledge the Palestinian terrorist hid among the civilians-ALL of them!!!!

You'd be surprised to know that there is no overwhelming public opinion on the streets of London, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Rio and Stockholm that Israel is a criminal terror state.

If you ask the Muslim residents of those cities, they would believe so because that is what they are told in the mosque.
But at this moment, Muslims are not the majority in those cities and even if the world media likes to, inaccurately, portray Israel as a problem and influence public opinion, not everyone is as gullible as you.

Once the majority public opinion believes as you do, the minority will have far more to be concerned about than the middle east.

Are the Zionists Miriam & University Rector always wrong or always lying? Check for yourself. Here are just a few links concerning mass rallies around the world which demonstrated against Israels policy of murder in the Middle East.

Perhaps Miriam & University Rector only watch Fox News?

As stated before, there is an overwhelming voice on the street which deplores Israels war like behavior. In our supposed democracy western politicians do not represent the people of the west. If they did they would boycott Israel immediately. Western nations should hold a referendum on this. Jewish owned media corporations around the world have lost their grip on state information and politicians better start representing the people with honesty before we totally lose faith in our governments.

Filipe writes: Have you also forgotten—– or just completely ignored the decision made by the Arabs not to endorse or pursue the UN report on Gaza??
Another lie from Zionist Filipe. No surprise there. The UN are acting upon the Gaza report.

What Filipe should have said is that America tried to pressure the Palestinians not to take advantage of their legal right to prosecute the murderous policies of Israel. But American pressure failed, But don't worry Filipe America will veto any further action and prevent justice in the middle east. And if anybody protests against the lack of honest justice, American governments will claim they are terrorists. But who cares about the lies of American governments any more?

miriam   October 11th, 2009 12:28 pm ET

John A,

Same point again.
When you are told in or from the mosque to go out onto the street and protest against the "evil Jews" who have committed fabricated crimes and this makes sense because everything you have ever been taught about Jews is that they are evil, then it makes sense that these mass rallies appear to be the public opinion.
However there are billions of people who do not rally and who are not indoctrinated by their religious leaders.
It is unfortunate that some are influenced by biased media, including government officials, but there are planty of intelligent people out there who can see through such hypocrisy and bias and an equivalent number of people who couldn't care less.

miriam   October 11th, 2009 12:34 pm ET

John A,

The Palestinians are in a mess.
Hamas are guilty.
Fatah want them prosecuted but if they support the UN then they themselves will be taken to the International Courts since they provided Israel with intelligence during the war and were urging Israel to go further and finish Hamas off.
Unfortunately for Fatah, the Arabs are too blood-thirsty for Israelis and they have pressured Abbas to withdraw his opposition, consequently weakening the PA leadership.

John A

caught you again being a liar:

reports on the opposition to the “yearly hate parade of the Islamists in Germany”

university rector   October 12th, 2009 7:48 pm ET

John A

did you read the captions in

it clearly states that bthe rally was organized with the help of Muslims, Hams and Hizbullah sypathizers.

And the author makes fun of the "rally", hardly a MASIVE protest, as you claim

caught you again in a lie, antisemitic Hizbullah lackey:

I suspect ANSWER had hoped that this protest would have grown into something larger - a mass movement, or perhaps a riot at least - but there was no violence, no confrontations, and the vast majority of San Franciscans just continued shopping and sipping cappuccino, unaware that a rally had even happened.

university rector   October 12th, 2009 7:53 pm ET

John A

and another one of your links

reports on Widespread demonstrations erupted across the Middle East, from Tehran to Beirut, in response to Israel's second day of bombing against Hamas in the Gaza Strip,

imagine, arabs protest Israel's action

So the people are marching now all over the world

what a sorry excuse for a man you are, nothin gt but lies and Hizbullah and Hamas propaganda

John A, you outdid yourself on this one, it reports on "the second day of bombing against Hamas in the Gaza Strip

Ariely   October 13th, 2009 4:24 pm ET

I'm with the University Rector on this. The only real march to effect the Middle East is this one:

University Rector, were you also there to? Perhaps next year we will march together....

university rector   October 14th, 2009 8:31 pm ET

Johny baby:

Ever wonder where the report featured that Israeli soldiers kidnap and kill Palestinians in order to harvest their vital organs for transplants originated. Palestinian Media Watch provides the answer. It was lifted in toto from the December 24, 2001 edition of Al Hayat Al Jadida, the official Palestinian Authority newspaper.

Daniel Bostrum, the intrepid reporter for Sweden's largest circulation paper Aftonblandet who plagiarized this fabrication, has said of his handiwork, "Whether it's true or not, I have no idea. I have no clue." Given his indifference to truth of his journalistic offerings, what further "scoops" can we anticipate from Bostrum? Again, Palestinian Media Watch provides the answer.

Here are just some of the charges one could have read in the official Palestinian press or heard from leading Palestinian Authority officials in recent years.

Israel will pay 4,500 shekels to any Palestinian who can prove he is a drug addict.

Israel produced and distributed to Palestinians two hundred tons of drug-laced bubble-gum designed to destroy the genetic systems of Palestinian youth.

It also distributes carcinogenic food and fruits for Palestinian consumption and children's games that beam radioactive x-rays.

And don't forget the HIV-infected Jewish prostitutes whom Israel has loosed among Palestinian youth.

Or Suha Arafat's accusation to Hilary Clinton that Israel poisons Palestinian wells.

Let us do our duty
And feast on our beauty..
We are Israel's sunflowers chosen and cutie!

Let not the moon slip behind the passing clouds of our dreams..
Or tossed upon the pillow shores of Tel Aviv
Open your minds, its not too late
Gay bi straight..checkpoints on the way
Its not the same..when life is a game..
Let freedom ring..on our parade

John A   October 16th, 2009 5:54 pm ET

University Rector, why do you call me Johnny baby?
Anyway I am not your baby Mr fake University Rector, so please find yourself another man. And please post something creditable, not just another one of your meaningless rants.

university rector   October 17th, 2009 8:27 am ET

stop whining and being a liar

you were not able to discredit even a single one of my posts, while i discredited practically every one of them

get a life, and google "truth"

university rector   October 17th, 2009 2:32 pm ET

Johnny baby

here is one for you, and just for you:

After London was relentlessly bombed during the days and nights of WWII, Winston Churchill instructed the Royal Air Force to practically wipe out a number of European cities that were considered German strongholds. Thousands of civilians were killed by the British air raids, but it was a decisive factor in the eventual victory of the allied forces

Was Churchill a war criminal? Richard Goldstone might think so, but most reasonable people consider him a war hero.

of course according to your twisted logig, johnny baby, churchil WAS a war criminal, right?

John A   October 19th, 2009 8:55 pm ET

University Rector, your logic is Churchill needed to use all power at his disposal to defend against the worlds biggest super power of his time, therefore Israel has the right to use full power against Palestinian people who do not posses on single tank or aircraft.Even though it is Israel who practices an illegal military occupation.

As always University Rector your own argument exposes your own despicable Zionist attitudes.

John A   October 19th, 2009 9:00 pm ET

University Rector, how dare you compare gutless Israel (which propagates war against civilians) to the British who died in mass to help liberate the world from people like you!
