Having first denied the very existence of a possible accomplice in the Christmas Day bombing attempt, officials are now denying that a second man detained in the aftermath of the Flight 253 incident had anything to do with the attack, completely contradicting multiple eyewitness accounts.

Authorities have attempted to downplay the significance of other men seen involved in the plot, including an Indian man that helped bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab board the plane, another man witnessed filming the entire flight including the bombing attempt, as well as an Indian man handcuffed by the FBI after sniffer dogs detected something suspicious in his luggage.

“Federal officials did take a second person into custody at Detroit Metropolitan Airport shortly after an attempted bombing incident on Northwest Airlines Flight 253, but the passenger who got handcuffed was off a different flight, and the incident was not related, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection official said today,” reports the Detroit News.

“There was a second person taken into custody, but it had nothing to do with Flight 253,” chief Customs and Border Protection officer Ron Smith said. “They did see dogs, but again, it was a totally different incident,” said Smith, who indicated that the arrest was drug-related.

However, this totally contradicts the circumstances of the aftermath of the incident as described by numerous eyewitnesses.

It seems unlikely that the man could have been on a different flight because all the passengers from Flight 253 were kept in the same area away from other passengers, as would be required after an attempted terrorist attack. All three eyewitnesses that saw the man being led away were convinced that he was a passenger on the same plane.

After the sniffer dogs flagged up the man’s luggage, Flight 253 passengers were told not to use mobile phones or computers and were then moved to another area. “You’re being moved,” the FBI told them, “it is not safe here. I’m sure you all saw what happened and can read between the lines and why you’re being moved.”

Both Kurt Haskell and fellow passenger Daniel Huisinga said the FBI agents clearly indicated that they were being moved because explosives had been found in the Indian man’s bags. Why would passengers be told that the area was unsafe and then moved if only drugs had been found in the man’s bags? This contradiction has been completely ignored by the mainstream media, who have dutifully swallowed the denial that the second man was involved in the plot without question.

In addition, when FBI agents interviewed eyewitness Kurt Haskell, they showed him photographs of the Indian man, suggesting they knew or suspected he was connected to the incident. If the man was on a different plane and detained on a drug-related charge then why days after the fact were the FBI still asking questions about him in relation to the Flight 253 attack?

In addition, witnesses who described a well-dressed Indian man arguing that Abdulmutallab should be allowed to board the plane despite the fact that he had no passport have also been contradicted by new claims that the bomber was carrying a valid Nigerian passport and U.S. visa.

The fact that officials first denied that the second man even existed, followed by subsequent attempts to whitewash his involvement in the attack is highly suspicious, especially in light of their refusal to even discuss the other men seen helping the bomber and then filming his attempted attack.

As is routine with false flag terror attacks, the official story is formulated and maintained from the very start, no matter how many eyewitness accounts contradict and undermine almost every aspect of it. The fact that men who were clearly involved in the attack are now being protected by federal authorities makes it clear that the Christmas Day attack is a great deal more complex than how it has been sold to the public by authorities and the media.

More cut and paste conspiracy theory.

Why should we all have to know every security detail immediately, before they've even been fully established by those who are supposed to investigate?

Being so keen to have all information revealed immediately, I suppose you'd be fine with body scanners. However I suspect you'd be one of the first to scream out about infringements on human privacy rights.

Good luck to the Iraqi women trying to put their lives back together.

Miriam, I'm so pleased the Internet has finally reached your village as it allows you to communicate with people in between milking your goats.

Meanwhile in the modern world, U.S. Customs say: Second person handcuffed on Christmas Day was on Flight 253, after all

A spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection now says that a man who was handcuffed and questioned by authorities on Christmas Day was a passenger on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 - just days after saying that person arrived to Detroit aboard a different flight.

In an email to The Detroit News Thursday night, Customs spokesman Ron Smith acknowledged that a person from Flight 253 was handcuffed after search dogs found something in his carry-on bag. Smith said the email - which was also sent to attorneys Lori and Kurt Haskell - was based on new information he had received.

The passenger was not arrested or detained, and was allowed to leave Detroit Metro Airport with the rest of the Flight 253 passengers, according to WWJ. The News said nothing was found in the man's bag.

The Haskells and at least two other Flight 253 passengers said they saw a man being handcuffed and taken away by authorities while they were waiting to be questioned by the FBI following Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's alleged attack on Flight 253. On Tuesday night, Smith told that someone had been detained at Detroit Metro Airport following the incident on Flight 253, but could not say why the person was detained or whether the person would face charges.

In a subsequent interview with on Wednesday, Smith said the man was aboard a separate flight and that he was questioned for reasons unrelated to Flight 253. He added that passengers from various flights went through customs processing in one centralized location.

Kurt Haskell, who first gave his account last Saturday of seeing a man being taken out of customs by authorities, posted a comment Wednesday on saying Smith was "playing the American public for a fool" by saying the handcuffed man was on a different flight.

The FBI has, since we landed, insisted that only one man was arrested for the airliner attack (contradicting my account). However, several of my fellow passengers have come over the past few days, backed up my claim, and put pressure on FBI/Customs to tell the truth. Early today, I heard from two different reporters that a federal agency (FBI or Customs) was now admitting that another man has been held (and will be held indefinitely) since our flight landed for "immigration reasons." Notice that this man was "being held" and not "arrested", which was a cute semantic ploy by the FBI to stretch the truth and not lie.

A spokesman for the FBI in Washington, D.C. told on Tuesday that Abdulmutallab was the only person arrested or charged in relation to the foiled attack on Flight 253.

These Iraqi War Widows should leave the Muslim Religion which places them into 1/3 the worth of Muslim men and never look back.

The respect and equality these women deserve is not found in the Muslim Religion, they should leave it and never look back.

Hope   January 5th, 2010 5:18 am ET

That is a hefty number of widows!! Security is what these poor Iraqi women are shopping for, not love. Wish them the best.

miriam   January 5th, 2010 10:52 am ET

Those you defend are exactly the types who disperse their shepherding activities with prayer and calls to jihad using the latest modern technology.
Reporting of rumours and innaccurate information endangers global security and the ability of those who are responsible to protect ordinary civilians to do their job.
But defending or denying terrorism and providing obstacles to the defence and security establishment goes hand in hand.

And hand in hand with those who will wish to make Iraqi widows more miserable.

m.gibson   January 5th, 2010 3:30 pm ET

If Saddam was still alive the Iraqi people would be calling for his return to power.

After 8 years of American occupation, how can anyone pretend Iraq is a better place to live today?. 1million Iraqis dead, women with no hope of finding a partner. Children with no hope of peace. Just imagine if Saddam created this atmosphere, what would have been said by the west? But this has been managed by America and its allies.

The Wall Street crash and subsequent economic depression created an environment for a radicals such as Hitler to emerge. Now look at America, invading other lands and limiting the freedom of American citizens. Americans like 1930s Germans are not physiologically prepared for economic failure of credit crunch and it wont be long before they turn to a radicle to elevate the war on terror and the war on civil liberty and turn the USA into an angry Nazi like regime. History repeats itself. There might even be another whip lash against the Jews as todays America mirrors pre Nazi Germany i.e. banks and media run by Jews. Will they get the blame again when America implodes?

America is positioning itself to become the enemy of the world and brand Obama has changed nothing. In fact Brand Obama was a slick betrayal of American dreams and a continuation of Brand Bush.

Robert   January 5th, 2010 11:33 pm ET

Miriam anyone who takes time to study news events can tell the American government is behind the so called terror attacks. Only if you dutifully swallow news scripts from mainstream media can you possibly believe in the laughable terrorist stories. Hitler blamed the Communists and Jews on his need for conflict. While accepting his Nobel peace prizes Obama blamed Muslims for Americas need for war. Brand Obama may be slicker than brand Hitler but the destination is the same. America rapidly becomes the Forth Reich with military bases in 190 countries, military campaigns in areas where oil, drugs and gold flow. At the same time America pisses on its own constitution and limits its own civilians rights.

To understand how quickly and deeply America has sunk we need to remember but one thing. In the 70s Nixon was kicked out of office for wire taps used against the Democrats. Just thirty years later Bush made wire taps legal the democrats supported him and now all Americans can be spied upon by Government.

History teaches us that laws and constitutions are needed to help citizens control their Governments. Civilized laws are not intended to be used by Governments to control citizens.

miriam   January 6th, 2010 11:58 am ET

m. gibson and Robert,

If you are from the West, you represent the defeatest extremes of society who prefer to see your country overrun by the jihadi caliphate who take advantage of every law and liberty that characterizes modern, democratic society. If that is your preference, you should be conserving your resistance for the future since all freedoms will quickly disappear under those who fill the vaccuum created by the West's demise.

If you are from the other side, then you are playing on and encouraging the West's libertarian weaknesses, and just as your partners in" crime" are being defeated in their terrorist attempts, eventually your lies, propaganda and disinformation will be dismissed..

John A   January 6th, 2010 3:23 pm ET

miriam there is no global jihadi, this idea has been placed in your little mind to ensure you vote for war and oil. Travel the world a little bit. Today America shut down an airport because a man carried 5 bottles of honey in his bag. Miriam and many simple minded western people have allowed the media and politics to frighten them of their own shadows. Fear is a dirty form of politics and always, always leads to dictators and problems. So stop hiding under the governments blanket, there is nothing to fear apart from your own government.

Carlos   January 6th, 2010 3:51 pm ET

Robert, m.gibson

Yes you guys are right it's only the fools who can't see that it was Bush, Cheney and company that started the terrorist attacks and invented the mythical organization called Al Queda!

What a clown !!!!

Yes- it's world domination for the US–that's the goal!!

Obama is the new Hitler !!

Are you a fool or what??

Filipe   January 6th, 2010 9:46 pm ET

There are some real nutcases out there !!!

Conspiracy theories about the Christmas Al Qaeda bomber !!! Right, it is what it is!!!

You clowns can deny Al Qaeda exists all you want-- Al Qaeda it's self claims to exist and speaks through it's many members and associates. But it's those in denial who claim " Conspiracy" !! Yea , Right !!!

And better yet -

"If Saddam was still alive the Iraqi people would be calling for his return to power."

What a hoot !!!!! What's to stop anyone from saying now ???? It's repeated frequently by his Sunni followers--those who prospered under his murderous rule.

But the majority and mainstream Iraqis would not and do not believe this nonsense!

It's only liberal whiners and conspiracy theorists that preach this rubbish.

But even better yet-is the truly moronic statement-–
"The Wall Street crash and subsequent economic depression created an environment for a radicals such as Hitler to emerge. "

That is really great !!!! Wall street crash resulted in the emergence of Hitler !!!!! Bwaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!!

And Bwaaaaaaa!!!!===== "America rapidly becomes the Forth Reich with military bases in 190 countries," !!!!!!!

Really !!!!!! Are you guys just thoroughly clueless ???? Lack of meds, maybe ???

And then there is true Patriot !!!! --- "there is nothing to fear apart from your own government."

If that's how you feel about your government-maybe you should find a different place to reside !!

What is wrong with you people???? The Boogey Man is everywhere!!!

Get over it !!! Grow up !!!!

There are terrorists in the world out to murder the innocent and the non-believers-– it happens daily-everyday-but you nutcases want to deny it happens and claim it's nothing but government conspiracies !!

Right !!

eddie   January 7th, 2010 12:10 am ET

Carlos tells the truth, a US president will be the next Hitler . Thanks to the words of Robert, he seems to express what I, Carlos and everyone else thinks

miriam   January 7th, 2010 4:39 pm ET

John A,

One can travel the world or just sit in front of the TV, but which ever way, you can hear the jihadists themselves speaking about a global jihad.
Denying that is as rediculous as denying the terrorist threats.

Filipe   January 7th, 2010 9:30 pm ET

Obviously you failed to grasp anything that Carlos said!!!! Do you not understand the term "sarcasm" ???

You should definitely retire to lower level discussion blogs on something like the latest So. CA. fashion scene or maybe who Brittney Spears and Paris are hanging out with these days!!

You just don't get it - there is some one laughing at you-not with you!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha !!!

Hope   January 8th, 2010 3:56 pm ET

Filipe..eddie is playing you and Carlos off...His sarcasm (I thought it's funny myself) is being spinned on you, and here you are falling for it. Truth is, we are laughing at you :) Sorry. ha ha ha ha!!!

eddie   January 9th, 2010 10:22 am ET

Filipe you are really starting to understand the issues i.e. wars rage around the world and all most people can do is watch TV and to discover where Britney Spears and Paris are hanging out.

Like you say Filipe and as Carlos alluded to in his sarcasm, the American people should wake up, read books, research their own news and not just sit in front of TV being spoon feed this ridiculous "war on terror".

To know how stupid Americans have become I must explain to them that grammatically you cat have a "war on terror". Terror is a state of mind or a terrorist strategy. How can a nation declare war on a strategy or a state of mind. It makes no sense, its not even English, its just totally stupid and for totally stupid people. Nations can declare war against nations, not against emotions and strategies. So if Americans think they are at war, then America simply demonstrates it has become a certifiable Nation.

But Filipe thanks for highlighting Carlos's sarcasm, but I did see through it and I know that he really supports the Palestinians and their just cause.

Carlos   January 11th, 2010 3:58 pm ET

The Palestinians can fend for themselves.

They have no just cause.

I fail to support anyone with radical ideolgies.

The Palestinians made their choice on statehood in 1948.

They also made their choice to remove the occupation by Jordan in 1967 and accept the protection offered by Israel.

Since they can't seem to be able to live with themselves, the rest of the Arab world feels it is necessary to keep them in refugee camps- Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

Go figure !!

Like said–they can fend for themselves until they demonstrate the desire and the abiltiy to live in society with their neighbors and each other.

eddie   January 12th, 2010 11:02 am ET

Carlos you are right!!!

Palestinians should defend themselves against the terror state of Israel.
Israel has no just cause to occupy and like you I do not support the radicle ideologies of Zionist settlers

Palestine was indeed a state in 1948, until Israel invaded and Israel did start to protect terrorists Irgung groups before 1967

Arabic people who lived together without problems before the state of Israel was invented in 1947 now find themselves in refugee camps. As you say go figure! Its terrible what Israel has done.

So I agree Carlos the Palestinians should not stop their resistance to Israeli terror until they have won their freedom.

Well said Carlos

miriam   January 13th, 2010 12:52 pm ET

Palestine has never been a state.
Israel did no invading!
Arab armies invaded Israel in 1948.
The Irgun was disbanded in 1948.

"Arabs" in the British Mandate, and in the Ottoman Empire beforehand, many of whom were migrant workers from Arabia and northern Africa, found the Jews, who had had communities in the region for centuries a problem. That is why they continually attacked and massacred the Jews.

Refugee camps were established to shelter the Arabs who had been encouraged by their leaders to flee the fighting that resulted from the Arab invasion of Israel, until Israel was defeated and they could return.
The presumed defeat was not realized and the descendents of those who initially fled are still being fooled by Arab leaders and UNRWA that the long-waited-for defeat is around the corner.

Those Arabs who were not fooled are living freely in Israel with more rights than most Arabs/Muslims in the ME.

Carlos   January 13th, 2010 5:46 pm ET

You appear to be truly deficient.

At no time in histroy- ever was there a stste or a country called Palestine.

Who ever told you that it was????

"Palestine" is nothing more a word conceived by Roman Emperor Hadrian.

But you are right- Arabic people lived together without problems-until they migrated to other lands from their true homeland on the Arabian peninsula.

But it's nice to see you agree that Israel is not an occupier and has existed for several millenia.

It really is terrible that their Arab brothers in Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon keep them lockedn up in refugee camps the they do.

You seem to be confused as to where these camps are, who built them and who governs them.

You should really look into taking some courses in world history.

You might not appear so ignorant. But, I find your perspecvtive quite similar to others from the US and their limited world knowledge. So, don't feel to bad about you deficiencies.

Filipe   January 13th, 2010 8:56 pm ET

there has never been a state or country called Palestine-–ever !!!

John A   January 14th, 2010 3:16 pm ET

Filipe/Carlos if you want to play with words then use the same rules with Israel. There was never a country called Israel until 1947 and Israel came into being through Jewish terrorism and violence. If you denounce terror you must denounce Israel as Israel was founded on the terror group Irgung and Israel has been at war since its immoral creation.

Filipe   January 16th, 2010 3:55 pm ET

John A,

The modern State of Israel was created by the UK and the UN.

So just get over it !!! It's a done deal !!!

The same UK and UN attempted to create an Arab state at the dame time but the Arabs were too stupid to accept it and refused !!!

Now all you can do is whine and cry about it !! Get over it !

On top of that "Palestine" is Roman word created by Roman Emperor Hadrian and used to rename the land of Judea !!!!

Judea-see any connection there??? Jew~Judea ?? The Portuguese word for Jew is Judeu !!

Israelites~Israel-– still don't get it John boy ???

But yes, thanks to the aggressions, by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria-Israel has been at war for many years. But it's nice to see that you can acknowledge that fact.

miriam   January 17th, 2010 9:21 am ET

John A,

The Israelites lived in the Kingdom of Israel until it divided into Israel and Judea.

The Kingdom of Israel existed alongside the Kingdom of Judea until it was wiped out by the Assyrians.

Under the Hasmonians the the State was Jewish and continued so under Herod until the Roman destruction.

Jewish states have existed and only ever in the Holy Land.

The modern State of Israel did not come into being through Irgun terrorism. If terrorism was a factor, then it was the terror Jews have experienced throughout history.
Most states on this planet were born out of violence. Israel was recreated amidst violence initiated by the Arabs, who have been those responsible for wars ever since.

Robert   January 17th, 2010 12:37 pm ET

As you know nothing of history, your probably unaware that Britain was trying to establish two states Israel and Palestine, but the Israeli terror group IRGUNG which was supported in the USA, shot killed and bombed its way to a singular state of Israel. Hence Palestine was not formed and only the state of Israel was created in 1947. Israel was created out of terrorism and what goes around comes around.

Filipe   January 17th, 2010 3:42 pm ET

Sorry for your misunderstanding of facts !

The same UN resolution that enabled the creation of the State of Israel enabled the creation of an Arab State. The Arabs refused to accept the opportunity for their own Arab State and refused to accept the State of Israel.

It's nothing more than Arab stupidity, arrogance and total incompetance that keeps the the Arabs from having their own state.

But you say it is Israel who kept the Arab state from being created !!!!

What fool !!!!!

Can you provide any evidence to this point of view ??? Other than your own personal opinion- ???

Carlos   January 18th, 2010 12:24 pm ET

John A,

To think like you-– if you denounce terror you must denounce the U and it´s existence as it was born out of terror against the British and the native population of the North American continent !

Angel   May 12th, 2010 10:24 pm ET

Carlos and Filipe grow up! What happened to the American indians was over 200 years ago. The way the Palestinians are being murdered by Israel is happening today!!!
