It is unfortunate for the victims of this attack that their dignity has to be lost in a youtube post used for anti-Iraqi and anti-Western propaganda and hate. Most innocent people who have had the misfortune to have been caught up in such an attack will tell you that they do not want their image, recorded in a time of trauma, flashed around the world.
This kind of footage may be sensational and attract viewers, but there is a level of respect that should be shown by responsible reporters, particularly when aided by terror-supporting, propaganda site.

(1.2 million deaths per year Worldwide)

2. More fatalities occur “each day” from medical malpractice then occur from terrorism for the “whole year”.
( US stats Only – 120,000 deaths worldwide 1.4 million)

3. More fatalities occur each year in the Netherlands from falling down stairs (falling down) then occur worldwide from terrorism.
( Just for the Netherlands 1700 deaths in 1999)

4. More fatalities occur in the US each year from animal attacks then occur worldwide from terrorism.
( Stats for US Only 1882 deaths – 79/90)

There are so many conspiracy theories about the attack on the USS Liberty, the BBC video being just one.
Typically, these theories contradict each other.

The obsession demonstrated over this incident, the unfortunate result of mistakes and confusion in the midst of war, is another example of the disproportionate attention being paid to Israel and the double standards to which she is held.

BTW, the US was not involved in the 1967 War, did not consider themselves Israeli allies and were involved in spying activities in the middle of a war zone.

It's interesting that you should bring up this incident and none of the numerous others where US naval ships have been attacked during war and peace. I suppose the attack on the USS Cole is not worth a mention since it was a terrorist attack and those are part of daily life requiring no response or concern!

There are very few "hard facts" from servicemen, many of whom were sunbathing on the deck with no idea what was going on in the war around them. The US was not involved in the war.

The Israeli and US "story" makes perfect sense to experienced military officers who don't have alternative agendas.

It is well known that the perpetual obsession by which this story is kept alive by anti-semitic, anti-Israel and anti-US bigots is well known, with the USS Liberty memorial association dismayed by the hijacking of their cause by such groups and individuals.

Meanwhile, Christians continue to be killed in the ME and you prefer to distract attention from such terrorism in order to propagate your bigotry.

Israel jammed the USS Liberty radio frequencies as they attacked the American ship.

As the USS servicemen said, you cant accidently do this and when you know that your blocking special frequencies used by your allies, you know you are attacking your allies.

The attack lasted several hours. This was a special ship, non other like in the world at the time. Are Israelis so retarded that they never noticed any of the American flags, the style of the American ship? etc.....

Both the US and Israel have admitted communication errors, the US admitting that there were insufficient specialists on board and that too many other intercepts were being dealt with at the time.

Again, the US was not involved in the war, had not informed Israel of the ship's movements and was not yet considered an ally of the Jewish state.

The ship was converted from a mass produced cargo vessel, hardly one of a kind, the flag was likely not visible due to the calm maritime conditions and the attack lasted two hours largely due to the return of fire from the USS Liberty.

Israel compensated the US and the crew of the ship, admitting the mistake, in contrast to the Israeli soldiers killed the previous day in a friendly-fire incident.

Let those involved fight their own battle.

They do not need negative interference by bigots who ignore all the world's ills unless they can be blamed on Israel/Jews.
