Every year, the big game rolls around and asks us to do a gear check: Is our TV and audio setup going to cut it? Whether you’re having a small viewing party with a few friends or inviting the whole neighborhood over, you want everyone to have a good time, and that means being able to see and hear all the action. A big, bright picture is a good start. Between the booming tackles and the halftime show, a quality sound system is also important.

Of course, upgrading ahead of game day doesn’t have to break the bank. Plenty of brands have dropped their prices to help you nab a new display or soundbar in time. We’ve rounded up a host of major discounts on some monumental TVs, so you can see the San Francisco 49ers take on the reigning champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Feb. 11.

TV deals

A big screen with a brilliant picture — what more can you ask for? That’s just what the LG C3 OLED delivers, and this 65-inch model also comes with big savings. This is an updated model of the C2 that we love, and it’s just bringing more of our favorite aspects, from rich contrast and brilliant color to smooth motion, to make the football game come to life.

The Samsung S90C is a powerful display for game day and beyond. It’s a slightly downgraded version of the Samsung S95C we love, but it’s much cheaper. With its large Quantum OLED panel, it’s able to display gorgeous visuals, and onboard smarts will optimize the picture depending on what you’re watching, including sports. With this $1,000 discount, you’ll save big on the TV so you can go big on the football snacks.

If you’re having a big watch party, maybe the common 55- and 65-inch TV sizes won’t cut it. In that case, Samsung has you covered with a deal on the 85-inch QN800C. With an 8K display and Mini LED backlighting, this towering TV is built to make an impact both in terms of clarity and picture quality. Even if you’re not streaming the big game in 8K, the QN800C can upscale footage to take advantage of its extra resolution. And with a 4.2.2-channel sound system baked into the TV, you’ll get big sound to top it all off.

If you’re having a big viewing party that needs a behemoth of a display, the Samsung Q80C can deck out your den with a 98-inch display boasting a 4K picture and direct, full-array backlighting. A TV this large doesn’t come cheap, but Samsung has cut $3,000 off the price tag to help you get it into your home. In case you’re worried, Samsung also offers free shipping and even mounting service to help you get set up in time for game day.

The TCL Q650G is already a wonderfully affordable option for kitting out your living room, but this discount makes it a steal. It has a colorful QLED panel that’ll really light up the turf and team uniforms. To make the most of the TCL Q650G, pair it with a soundbar to boost the volume so every tackle sounds as clear as it looks.

If you’re trying to go bigger and brighter, TCL’s QM850G gets the job done. It has a big, high-refresh panel that can provide smooth visuals to liven up the big game. Mini LED backlighting provides a 2,000-nit peak brightness for a clear view even in a bright room, and full-array local dimming with over 2,300 zones boosts the contrast for cinematic content. A built-in subwoofer can amp up the audio for the game and halftime show. This TV packs in a lot — enough that it’s a shock to see it under $1,000.

The TCL Q750G is another high-value option. It might not be as bright as the QM850G, but it still has full-array backlighting and hits a respectable 1,000-nit peak brightness. It even has a fast 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The big upgrade is that you can get this 75-inch model for the same $900 you’d pay for the 65-inch QM850G, so you have an alternative if size is a priority over brightness and contrast.

You can go all-in on picture size with the 98-inch S550G. This TV will dominate your wall, giving you a huge picture for you and your friends as you view the game. Originally $4,000, this big-game deal cuts the price in half. And with a 120Hz refresh rate, after the big game, you can enjoy smooth gaming of your own.

Hisense wasn’t going to be left out of the party. With the Hisense U76N, it has a 100-inch TV of its own, and it also has a massive discount. With this deal, you can save $3,000, bringing the U76N to just $2,000. That’s not only getting you a large display but the U76N has a 4K, 144Hz panel that’s good for gaming and the big game alike. Full-array backlighting on a Quantum Dot panel also spells out stunning color and poignant contrast for shows and movies during the off-season.

The Hisense U8K has a great incentive if you’re after a stunning display that’s better on looks and price without going overboard on size. This 55-inch model will run you just $697 ahead of the big game. For the money, you’ll get a sharp 4K display with high brightness and full-array local dimming, along with a wide color gamut and smooth 144Hz motion. It’s packing pretty much all you could ask for from a sub-$1000 TV and then some.

Soundbar deals

The Samsung Q900C is a powerhouse of a soundbar that could have you feeling like you’re in Allegiant Stadium. Between its immersive surround sound and the sheer power of its beefy subwoofer, this soundbar package is no slouch. While it’s normally a bit pricier than we’d like to see, Samsung has a big discount ahead of the big game that will save you $500.

Our favorite soundbar, Vizo’s M-Series Elevate M512E-K6 can turn your audio setup up a notch. You get not only a potent soundbar but a wireless subwoofer that can turn every tackle into a room-shaking event. That subwoofer links to two rear surround speakers that help fill out the sound for an all-encompassing experience. At $500 after a $300 discount, this is a prime deal for the big game.

Projector deals

The Hisense 100L9G is a stunning projector, casting a bright and vivid 4K image that comfortably stretches to 100 inches. While it normally comes with its own projector screen, this deal from Buydig lets you save thousands by opting to go without one. You can buy your own or just project onto a bare, white wall. Either way, you can still enjoy a massive view of the 50-yard line.

Looking for a big screen but don’t want to commit to a giant TV? The XGIMI Horizon Pro is a solid option. You’ll be able to enjoy the big game blown up to 100 inches — just as long as you dim the lights — and then you can carry the projector away under one arm just as easily as carrying a football across the goal line. The XGIMI Horizon Pro is a little beast, and it can even belt out some impressive sound from its built-in speakers. With this discount bringing it to just $1,199, it’s a great deal ahead of the big game.
