A family salutes their loved soldier


The family of Chief Naval Aircrewman Robert Scott Abplanalp sends this salute to their loved soldier:

"We just want to tell him we miss him, love him and are so proud of him. He is a hero to all of us in every sense of the word. And his 3 year old nephew Andrew wants to give him a message: Go Seahawks! Love from his whole family and happy birthday!"

Salute to Troops hits the road this weekend. Members of the Morning Express team will be in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, May 17, to get your salutes on tape.
