Super Typhoon Haiyan caused massive loss of life and destruction of property when it smashed into the Philippines. Several thousand people died and millions of others were left homeless. On November 19, staff from Global DIRT, using technology from Immersive Media, put a 360-degree camera on a truck and drove through some of the worst-hit areas, around the city of Tacloban. The videos, shot to help the aid and recovery operation, have been made available to CNN so that this tragedy continues to receive worldwide attention.
