3. This promotion will cease once the Beijing Olympics competition has finished.
4. Registration for this service should be in accordance with the instructions outlined. Entrants may only register a mobile phone for which they have a valid telephony contract.
5. Turner Broadcasting System Europe Limited ("Turner") and Cable News Network Inc ("CNN"), and their affiliated companies, officers, employees, agents and representatives accept no responsibility for late, misdirected, lost, undelivered or indecipherable entries, nor for technical problems with telecommunications networks which may affect the service.
6. First 10,000 eligible individuals to register their mobile number in accordance with the promotion will receive free gold medal SMS alerts during the Beijing Olympics for the country / countries they have selected.
7. The Olympics gold medal SMS alerts service is not transferable. There is no cash alternative. Turner reserves the right to suspend the provision of the service in the event that the SMS alerts are unavailable for any reason whatsoever without liability to any person who has subscribed for the service. The Beijing Olympics alerts service is subject to the terms and conditions of the SMS service. The terms of the mobile network provider will continue to apply when accessing the WAP site.
8. Those who register should be aware that his/her network provider may charge for texts at the standard rate according to the network provider’s terms of service. Those who register are responsible for these costs and the costs of any other third party associated with receiving the Olympics gold medal SMS alerts Service.
9. Turner and its parent, subsidiary, affiliated and associated companies accept no responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the award of any prize.
10. This service is governed by English law and any dispute or claim in relation hereto is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
