QPS is introducing its newest line of Que USB and FireWire CD-Rewritable drives at Macworld Expo in San Francisco this week. The units are available in "matching iMac colors" and an iMac-compatible design, according to QPS.

Pricing will be announced upon release, but the current line starts at $299 for FireWire and $249 for USB. QPS makes drives that are usable with both PCs and Macs.

Translucent plastic faceplates, or bezels, at the front of the drives give them that distinct iMac look and feel. The drives are specially designed for Apple G3 and PC desktop computers.

"The translucent bezel offers an attractive alternative to monotone drives on the market," says Pierre Abboud, vice president of QPS.

The drives read and write data, and record music that can play on any CD-ROM drive or basic CD player. QPS showcases the drives as ideal for MP3 recording, desktop publishing, and data archiving.
