January 11, 2000
DETROIT (CNN) -- General Motors and Ford are working to put the information superhighway on the real highways of the United States. GM has formed a partnership with America Online. Later this year, the automaker plans to equip some GM cars with technology that will enable drivers to connect to AOL via satellite. Ford has a similar plan, but a different partner: Yahoo.
