LAWRENCE, Kansas (CNN) -- This week in Lawrence they went so far as to celebrate Charles Darwin's birthday. The father of the Theory of Evolution would have been 192.

But Kansans take creationism seriously, too.

On Wednesday the Kansas Board of Education is expected to restore evolution to the state's science curriculum. It was at a meeting two years ago that the state board shocked many by writing evolution out of the state's standard curriculum.

CNN Correspondent Jeff Flock has more on the background to the board's vote.
