Martin's memories —
Casey Martin returns to the scene of his only major appearance this week after qualifying for the 112th U.S. Open.

Special case —
The 40-year-old needs to use a golf cart to get around the course due to a birth defect which restricts blood circulation in his right leg, causing pain.

Tailing Tiger —
Martin had a practice round with his former Stanford college teammate Tiger Woods ahead of the tournament at San Francisco's Olympic Club.

Together we stand —
They played together when the U.S. Open was last held at the course in 1998. Woods tied for 18th, while Martin was 23rd in his best performance as a golf pro.

Coach Casey —
Martin had to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court so he could use a cart after the PGA Tour ruled against him. He is now coach at the University of Oregon, having given up his pro ambitions in 2006.
