Basketball legend Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in January 2020, along with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven other people. He was 41.
Born in Philadelphia, Bryant started playing basketball when he was 3 and went on to become one of the NBA's greatest players. He was drafted to the NBA straight out of high school in 1996, and he was the youngest player in NBA history at that time.
Bryant played his entire professional career with the Los Angeles Lakers and won five NBA championships.
He also won two Olympic gold medals during his career, which ended with his retirement in 2016.
