Ahead of the Turkish Open, Woods took time out to do something which had never been done before. The world No. 1 was to strike a drive across the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul, thus becoming the first golfer to hit a golf ball from Europe to Asia. Istanbul is renowned as a transcontinental city.
