Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will go head-to-head for a place at the 2014 World Cup after Portugal and Sweden were drawn together in the European qualification playoffs. The latest example of Ibrahimovic's unique flair came in a French league match against Bastia in October. "Ibra" performed a scorpionesque backheeled volley to direct a corner into the back of the net. The exquisite goal prompted one admirer to pen a complete flick book of the extraordinary goal. Since arriving in Paris, the mercurial striker has become a symbol of PSG's new elite status. Ibrahimovic finished as the top goalscorer in France as PSG secured the 2012-13 league title. His penchant for scoring jaw-dropping goals, and his often outspoken approach, has made him a cult figure among football fans the world over. Arguably the finest goal of Ibrahimovic's career arrived in a 4-2 friendly win over England in November 2012, a match in which he scored all four of Sweden's goals. His final goal of the night came after England goalkeeper Joe Hart rushed out of his box to head clear a through ball, only for Ibrahimovic to perform an overhead kick from 30 yards out and sending the ball looping into the back of the net. The strike has been nominated for the Ferenc Puskas Award, an accolade given to the year's best goal. FREDRIK SANDBERG/AFP/Getty Images/file
