CNN received images of journal entries from Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer's office that Zimmer said she wrote in May 2013. This entry reads, "I prefer typing on computer -- but maybe it's time to get back to journal writing. Embarrassed to say -- but I found myself breaking down last night on the plane. I was watching Les Miserables thinking about my dad -- and so I cried for him. But then I was emotional about Governor Christie." Mayor Zimmer's Office
"I thought he was honest, I thought he was moral -- I thought he was something very different. This week I found out he's cut from the same corrupt cloth that I have been fighting for the last 4 (crosses out 3) yr. I am so disappointed -- it literally brings tears to my eyes." Mayor Zimmer's Office
"Seems strange -- but ok -- get to go and meet the Lt. Gov -- at the end of a big tour of Shoprite meeting she pulls me aside with no one else around and says that I need to move forward with the Rockefeller project. It is very important to the Gov." Mayor Zimmer's Office
The word is that you are against it and you need to move forward or we are not going to be able to help you. Are other towns being required to develop in exchange for the help with the flooding I asked? (In margins) "I know that's not right -- these things should not be connected -- they r." She says - if u tell anyone that I will deny it. Mayor Zimmer's Office
