Marquez takes 11th Grand Prix win

Repsol Honda's record-breaking rider Marquez claimed his 11th Grand Prix win on Sunday at Silverstone at British leg of the MotoGP season in a scintillating race that saw the Spaniard overtake Movistar Yahama's Jorge Lorenzo three laps from the end. Jonathan Hawkins/CNN
Speaking after the race, Marquez said: "It was important to win today, after missing out at Brno. I also had a score to settle from last year, when Jorge beat me on the final corner, so I am happy to be back on the top step of the podium!" Jonathan Hawkins/CNN
Referencing the dramatic dogfight at toward the end of the race, Lorenzo revealed: "I knew that [Marquez] was going to try to overtake me in this corner in first gear on the right, but I didn't let him enter. On the outside I opened the throttle and he touched me. In the next corner he touched me again as he went into the corner and I lost seven tenths of a second." Jonathan Hawkins/CNN
