Aguero....again – Sergio Ageuro scored a dramatic late penalty as Manchester City came from behind to defeat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 in Germany. The home side, which had missed a first half penalty, took the lead through Lars Strindl. But Nicolas Otamendi equalized before Aguero's late strike.
Doumbia double – Seydou Doumbia scored twice as CSKA Moscow overcame PSV Eindhoven 3-2. The Russian side led 3-0 inside 36 minutes before the visitors launched a comeback. Maxime Lestienne scored twice after the break but the home side held on.
Morata's the man – Alvaro Morata and Simone Zaza were both on target as Juventus made it two wins from two with a 2-0 win over last season's Europa League winners Sevilla.
Benfica bounce back – Benfica came from behind to claim an impressive 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid. The home side took the lead through Angel Correa but goals from Nicolas Gaitan and Goncalo Guedes sealed the points for Benfica.
PSG prosper – Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 3-0 win over Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Serge Aurier and David Luiz were both on target while Dario Srjna's own goal gave the French side a third.
All square – Astana of Kazakhstan secured its first ever Champions League point after recording a 2-2 draw with Galatasary.
